Firstly, this is by NO means meant to offend or be a racist review but as an honest personal opinion!!
We booked a table recently at cin cin & although we still sat down, my partner was shocked at arrival when he noticed all the staff were of a totally different race.. he thought we walked into the wrong restaurant. He made a point that you dont expect italians cooking food in an indian restaurant because they dont know how to cook indian food. It wouldn't be authentic. Nor would you expect indians trying to cook italian food & be authentic either. I definitely agree. Some of the menu items were blanked out with a marker, so the choices were lessened. It was also a tad chaotic with lots of staff looking like they just took over the business. They were crammed behind & in front of the counter, hovering over what seemed like the bookings list or menu. Although the young girls & ladies were super polite, they seemed unfamiliar with the menu or certain dishes. The vibe was not of an italian restaurant at all, and we weren't the only patrons feeling it either. The 2 tables next to us were discussing it out loud, wondering if the establishment had been sold and it was their first weekend of take over. Sadly, we will not...
Read moreThis place was highly recommended to me but I have no idea why. I booked a table for 8 people for my wife’s birthday on a Tuesday night. We were one of two tables the whole evening, so a slow night for the kitchen. Our moody waitress hesitantly welcomed us upon arrival and continued to be bitter the whole evening. The food was pretty good, but the biggest disappointment was the two lasagnes that we ordered which arrived 20 minutes after everyone else’s food had already come out. Apparently this was a “problem with the printer” and it didn’t show up on the ticket… Surely the kitchen would recognise that there’s only 6 main meals on a ticket out of a table of 8. If it was a busy Saturday night with the restaurant fully booked then I might be able to understand, but with only our table and a table of 2 people outside I think they should have done a lot better. They only took the lasagne off the bill because I asked. I will not be returning. Do not eat here if you want to eat at the same time as everyone else...
Read moreDelicious pizza and lasagne, great service and really great with my 2 year old. Lasagne was very cheesy and a very generous portion. The patata pizza had a good balance of flavours and a really nice base. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Wollongong area
Edit: I came back again just a few weeks later and loved it even more! The meatballs with pasta was delicious and the service was even better than last time. It's busy but Covid safe, the chef was incredibly kind to my daughter who was getting restless and hungry. He heard me tell my husband that we need to pack some toys for her for when we eat out... So handed us a bit of pizza dough for her to play with while she waited. She loved rolling it and sculpting and watching the chef throw the pizzas! We also tried the vegan calzone, although with dairy mozzarella.. it was full of flavour and delicious cheese. The Aperol spritz was good too, and a good price if...
