I've placed an order with J J tonight using the deliveroo app. I have always done my orders through the app and have never had majour problems with it. Tonight I watched the driver on the map of the app and saw that he was closed by so I decided to wait at the front door. He passed driving my door and parked near my neighbour's place (at the time I didn't know that car was mean to deliver my food). Next thing I saw him taking off. I call JJ and they said that apps drivers are not they responsability and that I should call the driver. Once the order is "finalised" on the app you can't see the driver's name or phone number. So I call deliveroo and the same car came back. He again drove past my front door stop the car by my neighbour's house then he did a three point turn drive past my front door stop the car and got off it saying "Did you order any food from JJ?" I said yes I did and he said "Your order is on the door". I said the delivery is meant to be here at this door. And he said "Is there you pick it up!" I said I never had any problems with deliveroo if you don't deliver my food to my address I'll have to cancel the order and "he said go ahead and cancel". What upsets me here is that I always prioritised JJ over any other indian restaurant. They didn't seem to care much on loosing a client. The person that delivers your food is also looking after your customer. I'm just asking a bit of care. The driver left my food on somebody else's door on the floor for I don't know how long and wanted me to go and pick ip up. I expected a bit of...
Read moreOk where do I start?! Upon entry, the tap water arrived without glasses...shall we drink from the bottle? Waiting for menus involved a fresh head of grey hairs on my melon and a few extra digits on my age. The naan bread was so dry, it was like spending a week in the Sahara...the only suitable function this bread could serve was cardboard for my three year old daughter to draw on to keep occupied. Did I mention we were short changed a second piece of cardboard...yes one of the nanas never arrived. In light of mentioning to the staff that we had been short changed a naan, it still never came!!!! The lid of my can of coke had been decorated with a number of black specs that could have been anything from the factory floor! The mains were the best part, but nothing to get too excited about. The conclusion of the evening involved the obligatory visit to the lavatory, but I mistook the kitchen for the toilet and had to make a prompt exit. The doors to the kitchen looked like the entry to splinters sewer in the first Ninja...
Read moreVisited Kiama for a little trip with my partner and was recommended by our hotel staff and also recommended by a friend who’s also visiting Kiama at the same time.
This was in walking distance from our hotel stay with street parking at the front. We were seated immediately given the option of indoor or outdoor with a heater. We sat outdoor and the heater had kept us warm.
Waitstaff was very helpful with her recommendations which we had decided to order. Food arrived in an appropriate time. We had ordered a sharing platter, butter chicken, cheese naan, garlic naan, and a prawn dish (forgot the name). The prawn dish was my favourite with so much flavour and unique to other Indian restaurants. We had byo bottle of white with a $5 cork service fee and my partner ordered a beer.
There was plenty of food and we had to take away a portion of it.
Would dine here again when we’re back in Kiama and would definitely recommend to others!...
