AÏDA Flughafen Wien Terminal 1 — Restaurant in Gemeinde Schwechat

Worst experience ever. Made my flight more stressful than it could be. Sale person was rudeness itself, and completely careless about her customers. I had two luggages on hand, and couldn't take my order right away. I was taking sit in their cafe, where sits were all the way back without eye sight on it. I needed her to put tray to left from her instead of in front of her. It is still their cafe, and was just making one extra step inside her compartment. I put my luggage next one of tables and approached to the rightside of the food making station. I still could see my bags from there. She looked at me and said she's not putting it to her right side, I have to turn and take it myself. I explained situation, she didn't are. I couldn't and wouldn't leave my bags unattended in airport, so I had to take both bags and juggle tray inbetween my busy hands with hot tea on the tray. I hated every moment of it. Management needs to teain their employees accordingly to accommodate passangers in airport, after all it is very specialized setting and requires understanding. What that woman did was rude and absent on compassion and understanding where she works. It wasn't even a pick up place, it was a cafe with no service whatsoever! The sandwich I took was jam and chefelt just a pickle sandwich. Felt sour with no meat in it. I took pickles out, became cheese sandwich. Thin ham had no taste at all. Or it was lost behind its thinnness....

Worst ham and cheese toastie I’ve ever had, seriously inedible. My flight got cancelled and then rerouted via Vienna, so I had an airport voucher to use in a restaurant. The waiter not only was unpleasant, but when I came to pay the rest of the bill with my own money after using the voucher money, he asked me for cash which I did not have. He became extremely stroppy and annoyed when I told him I didn’t have cash (he didn’t ask me for cash or card). I told him I could buy something else or get money out but he just passive aggressively told me it was fine and sent me away, when it was clearly his fault he couldn’t just ask me cash or card. Bad experience, wouldn’t go back. Should’ve gone to Burger...

Had coffee and cake here, and it was a great experience! The server, Krishtaq (from Kosovo—apologies if I got the name wrong), was fantastic. He welcomed me warmly, gave great recommendations, and made sure I was satisfied with my selection. I also appreciated that they had lactose-free milk available upon request.

The decor is charming, and the atmosphere is wonderful—perfect for a relaxing stop. I had some time before my flight, and this was the ideal place to enjoy a coffee break. But more than the coffee, it was the service that stood out. Service with a smile is getting rarer these days, and that’s exactly why I’ll be coming back....
