In the natural habitat of the Viennese schnitzel the hamburger has no choice but to rise to the occasion to hopefully get it's share of the limelight. As my associate and I were making our way from the elegant town of Graz, where Arnold Schwarzenegger first kissed a girl, to Vienna airport, we both felt a certain longing for some familiarity in the perpetual estrangement of our constant travel. Upon entering the airport our modest demand was met. A recently renovated flashy Burgerking! The place was buzzing ! People from all ages and a myriad of different upbringings standing together in one line, awaiting their food to arrive and arrive it did, indeed ! My associate got his plant-based whopper menu with onion rings and sparkling water, whilst I received a whopper junior menu with extra cheese, onion ring and a cold Coca-Cola zero. I am not a junior anymore, however, the thought of a full sized whopper was a bit intimidating considering that this was my breakfast. The buns of my burger were a bit dry but the inside content was superb. The meat was obviously cooked by a professional and the veggies were fresh and sufficiently crunchy. Even though I could see with my own two eyes Samira, my service provider, handpicking each onion ring individually they had yet a certain soggy sadness to them. The Coca-Cola zero was refreshing and countered the dryness of the buns. I could sense discontent on the face of my associate. "The water is not cold" he said when I asked if everything is alright. Heavy heartedly he decided to ask for a new bottle.. He came back quickly with a cup full of ice and a smile. The service team put their minds together to come up with a solution for the misfortune of my associate. Great job, guys !
