I asked for coffee :-). There was a woman serving behind the desk - and she started to do for me coffee- to plastic cup. I asked her kindly to use the porcelain mug, there were many of them on the shell. She answered me in German. I asked her again in English and she gave me even longer answer in German - after she said me in English - Do you like coffee or not? I said yes and she again took plastic cup, and continue speak German, even faster. There were line already behind me, so I said OK, I do not understand your German. Literary, it is strange, if you say that you do not understand language and person despite of that talks to you more and more. She was not kind at all. Her face was sour, any smile. Some older man in line said to me - you are in Austria, here we talk German! He was obviously fluent in English but didnât try to help me to understand. I just said loudly- we are in Vienna INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! Next time I go to MacDonalds- there work nice foreigners, speaking English and giving smiles- and I will get plastic mug...

   Read morethank you Anker. until now it was always a good choice to get a coffee and croissant at this place before flight because it was priced the same like in the city. now the shop got remodeled, 50% smaller, and at the same time the prices got a 75-100% bump. so two croissants and two (very watery, because they use cheap oatmilk) coffees for 18$. nice capitalist job.
the good thing is, now i don't have to think twice to get an overpriced coffee overlooking the air traffic while already inside...
