Lemme get things straight - this is a restaurant in an AIRPORT, not a small little bistro in your small town street corner. Everyone in the airport (and any airport in general) is in a rush, except the staff in this restaurant - miraculous. I would have thought being at the restaurant (right next to my boarding gate) 1h05m before boarding closes would be adequate, but boy was I wrong.
Waited 15m outside restaurant before being seated, then another 10m waiting for somebody to take notice of my presence and take my order. Food was quick, but after that another 15m of waiting for somebody to notice me and get me the bill, I absolutely HAD TO go - boarding gate is closing. I asked the man at the takeout cashier if that is where I should be paying, who then directed me to another unwilling lady at the in-restaurant till near kitchen exit, who directed me back to the takeout cashier. After a while of kicking me around, finally my bill was paid at the in-restaurant till (paying my bill standing up in a sit-down restaurant)
The food is normal - hot food is a rarity anyways. But No food is ever worth missing a flight for. In an airport, efficiency comes before everything. I do not find my meal efficient when the time spent waiting for service is longer than that I spent eating.
If you have a lot of time to spare and a lot of money on hand (for rescheduling flights) - do come and try...
Read moreDuring a legthy flight delay we where government the option of taking a prepared card with €4.50 on to buy food and drink while waiting (not nearly enough to buy a sandwich in this godforsaken hole). The cross eyed cashier presented me with a rather aggressive attitude while ordering and then proceed to try and extort money from me by picking up chocolates and random things from around his counter and adding them to my order to make me pay more (beyond the value of the prepared card I had been provided). Upon realising the bill was much larger than what I had I anticipated I quizzed this cashier as to why he was charging me for things I had not ordered or wanted he flew into a rage throwing the things he had added across the counter. I'd only wanted a bloody sandwich . Would recommended avoiding especially if tired and delayed. Still confused about why he started adding things and why he spoke English with me untill I quizzed him than suddenly denied being able to speak a word....
Read moreIf I could rate it NO STAR I would do that. My 14 year old niece ordered while I went to wash my hands and together with meal she asked for 2 waters. Once I returned I realized waitress delivered Evian water with price of 4 euros per bottle( or maybe 3.80 - I can not remember it now). As my nice already opened one bottle I could not return it back but I asked our waitress to return second non open bottle. She refused stating that in Austria you can not void a bill !?! This of course would make sense if she really did gave us a bill but at the time of our discussion she didn’t know if I was paying by cash of credit card so there was no bill created. Long story short: it is embarrassing not to underline that only water you have is expensive Evian, specially when you have a child ordering and than to lie to my face about no possibility of cancelling an order before the bill was created!
