We seeked out the place since we were looking for a good, seafood restaurant. When we arrived, the staff were somewhat uninterested and robotic, and we felt like we were intruding, though the place was empty. The service were changing, as if 2 people were needed to serve one table, and it seemed they did not communicate. When we asked about the wine iptions, the gentleman seemed to be annoyed and impatient. Also, I had to open and pour the wine myself, since it was just brought to us and left on the side of the table. The oysters were great. But the rest of the food, like the mussels, seemed underseasoned and overcooked. The water that we ordered came in a dirty, dusty water bottle that had been opened before, and not at our table. It tasted like tap water, but we were charged 7 Euros for it. After I enquired about the practice of bringing an opened bottle of water to a table, the waiter got defensive and said that 'he can bring us tap water and bottled to taste and see'. We agreed, and he never returned. Overall we payed around 120€ for a very mediocre, non-inviting experience.

It was a fabulous dinner! We had: sea robin with mussels, fritto misto with branzino & calamari, gnocchi with truffles, tahitian vanilla ice cream with caramelized pumpkin seeds & eggnog, tiramisu and of course some drinks. The food was delicious, only the tiramisu was "fair enough". The service was very attentive and kind. They took a lot of time to explain the different options of grilled fish for us. They tried very hard to find a lactose free alternative for dessert for me (besides sorbet), even asked in their other restaurant (El Gaucho) what they have on the menu. The only little minus: we would have drunk more, if the service would have let us / would have been a little bit quicker with the drinks. If you are into fish, if you don't mind spending money, if you like that little "extra" service and enjoy a really nice atmosphere in the old town of Graz: El Pescador is definitely the right place for you to go!

This was one of the best meals we had anywhere in Europe and the lunchtime set meal made it an absolute bargain. A fish soup, a main, a glass of wine and bread and it was all superb quality, The restaurant is quite small but we never felt cramped and the setting is gorgeous. Staff were superb, spoke great English, and had no problems dealing with a request for a gluten free meal, even with the lunchtime set special. Had we stayed here longer we’d have been back for dinner as well, but for a special lunch, this can’t be beaten.

Great see food restaurant. A little bit small but very nice in food quality and service. During our visit we had grilled Sebass file and fried tuna steak with rucolasallad permesan cheese and fried rosemarine potatoes. Together with white chardonnay and sparkling water. It was very tasty. As complimary the restaurant served a small shrimpcoctail with fresh bread. The whole thing was finished by a cup of expresso and lemonsorbet with prosecco. The price were a little on the high side but the taste compensated the whole thing. Definitely worth a second visit. Thanks from...
