Awesome place to visit. It is ever present on any youtuber's travel vlog to Graz /Austria.
We were lucky enough to enter for free on a Sunday (no idea what the occasion was, but it was free entrance).
The building is in center down town. Awesome architecture on the outside, awesome light shows on the building during the night, massive concrete building.
They have lockers at -1 like most Austrian art galleries and museums and you are not allowed to bring your backpack inside the museum, nor selfie sticks, not liquids.
I especially love the eye shaped windows at the first flor, gave such alien UFO vibes or a feeling you were i side a cyborg wale or something 😄🐳🐋.
On the last floor there is an indoor terrace with a view towards the river and the city center.
They have great restrooms for people with disabilities as well and lifts between the floors.
They also have a bar terrace outside , behind the museum, very lively and there is also a municipality fountain , with drinkable water, next to that bar , for those hot summer days .
Artworks were very well lit and separated with proper details in regard to the artist and...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Kunsthaus Graz earlier this year and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The building's unique architecture and modern design made it stand out from other museums and galleries I've visited in the past. The design of the building itself is a piece of art, with its biomorphic shape and futuristic design, it's hard not to be impressed.
The exhibitions on display during my visit were thought-provoking, engaging and showcased some of the most cutting-edge contemporary art pieces. It was great to see such a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, video installations, and digital art.
The museum staff were very friendly and helpful, providing plenty of information about the exhibitions and their background, which added to my appreciation of the artwork on display. The attention to detail in the museum's presentation and the curation of the exhibitions was top-notch and truly elevated the experience.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Kunsthaus Graz for anyone who is interested in contemporary art or architecture. It's a unique and inspiring experience that should...
Read moreThe view from the top floor was the best part. The exhibitions were heavily ideological and comfortably skippable. Editing to add a response: Hello and sure. I went to Graz for the Christmas markets, so I visited Kunsthaus less than a month ago. Going from memory, the lowest floor had an exhibition of some poor quality soft porn photography and especially the small room in the back smelled like a wet dog, so it was challenging both aesthetically and physically. The next floor had a bunch of opinionated but not very artsy stuff, some of it really just slogans on a background, but it was hard to pay attention due to the painful light and sound effects - I remember feeling sorry for the staff. The floor above that (dark and purple) was actually quite thought provoking and beautiful - including the mini pseudo documentary. And since I'm already writing a review - the shop in the basemen has a lot of generic stuff such as mugs and notebooks but no miniatures of the Kunsthaus building - I found that weird since it's the most iconic feature and something I'd buy. Hope that...
