The Wiener schnitzel is one of the bests I've eaten in Innsbruck! It's very thin as it's supposed to be and the portion is quite big for 14€. You can choose to eat it with fries or potato salad. However, I need to say that it's very cozy environment. It won't probably meet your expectations if you're looking for somewhere fancy to schnitzel. It's more like a place where you can eat quickly. By the way, the food arrives pretty quickly to the table. And, it's most likely one of the last places you could find big ketchup and mayonnaise staying on your own table all the time. The only thing I'd criticize is the size of the plates. It would be more comfortable to eat with a larger plate in my opinion. Ohh plus, you can only pay in cash. Everything here is simple, but the atmosphere is really nice as long as you’re not expecting an over-the-top kind of hospitality. There was only one staff member (maybe the owner himself) trying to welcome everyone on his own. Because of that, there can be small waiting times or not long welcoming talks, but it’s totally fine. If you’re there to chat with a friend or relax with a beer, it actually adds to the charm.

There’s no fake friendliness here, just a man who manages everything. I’m not a local, but he was very polite and kind to me and my boyfriend. I don’t know what others expect here, but for me, this place was exactly what I was looking for a real, local spot...

If you are not a local I highly recommend avoiding the disappointment. We have been sitting on a table for 30 minutes and the owner ( who also serves and take orders ….)fully ignored our existence. He didn’t take our order, he didn’t even have eye contact with us, so after 30 minutes we simply left. If you are not a local you are not welcomed.
