It was a horrendous experience for us trying to have our dinner at this restaurant. We were tourists from Canada and wanted to try some Nepali foods just to satisfy our taste buds with something different. The moment we entered the restaurant, the self proclaimed Manager/ Owner jumped out of nowhere and started acting smart. Because we had a two year old baby in our team, we always ask for the wifi password to any restaurant we move in so that the baby can be entertained until the food is served and the other guests are not bothered. Naturally, the baby stay calm watching cartoon. We asked the self called owner the password of the wifi twice as the one he mentioned was not working. We also requested some drinking water as we were travelling in the midst of the June heat wave warning period in Europe. Again, the serverâs response was highly disrespectful as he said, âI have others things to doâ. Then when we raised our concern on his behaviour towards us, he said, âYou are asking too many questions about the food ingredients etc etc when everything is printed in the menu cardâ. Now, one of our team member is highly allergic to zucchini, pumpkin and such kind of vegetables. That is why we were double checking on the ingredients of the items which we ordered. It came as a shocker when finally he said, âYou should learn manners first as people from your country behave suchâ. Just to add, we are Bangladeshi by birth and naturally our skin is brown. We were in Innsbruck for a day at the end of our 18 days long Europe tour that started on June 15. Actually, after Innsbruck, we would head back to Munich tomorrow and from there, back to Canada day after tomorrow (July 2nd, 2019). I also firmly believe that the other guests in the restaurant had no clue what happened because we all were talking in English. It is a shame for a restaurant in such a tourist prone area to behave with the foreign tourists like this and therefore I highly dis recommend this one. SHAME on the...
Read moreDisappointing food. Went twice on two different trips to Innsbruck. Thought the previous time was a one time fluke. It wasn't. Its the same stale cheap supermarkt quality cold and rubbery naan (seems pre-bought in bulk ... why??), dry rubbery inedible chicken, the dry (how???)supposed to be crispy fried vegetable balls in extremely acid tomato gravy (I'm certain it's canned tomatoes), and the over-cooked, doughy dry and rubbery dumpling sheets... (dry and rubbery seems to be the theme here). And btw, RED LENTIL is not MOONG DAL, it's MASOOR DAL. Please correct this on the menu. The only thing nice about this place is the warm cozy vibe. Because the staff are friendly, and even offered freee mango lassis. Most of the items felt like indian dishes suboptimally prepared and given Nepali names. I love Nepali food, I absolutely love momos, gundruk, nettle and fern soups. My review is not random. I'm from that region and grew up and lived and travelled extensively over the himalayan region and India. The food in this restaurant is objectively disappointing. The fried poppadoms as welcome snack is probably the only saving grace, but that too is spoiled by the bright green synthetic looking hot chutney. Sorry, it doesn't work for me. I love and respect food too much to be dishonest here. I bet not a single person from the subcontinent can honestly say great things about the food here. I mean if i want to eat sad, cold and stale naan, why would i come to a restaurant??? REALLY SORRY. Vibe though is great. Service is good too. The food is not good. I generally give much more importance to ambience and warmth, than the food when eating out. But because I also love and respect food, it also hurts me when it's not treated with respect. Humble suggestion: If your restaurant cannot make fresh naans, please serve freshly made roti/chapati. hot fresh bread/naan/roti never fail to cheer up a hungry customer, even when sides dishes...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at HIMAL, and I was very impressed. I was seated immediately, and my drink order was taken right away. My server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the "Chicken Momo", which are dumplings filled with chicken and spices. The momos were cooked perfectly, and they were very tasty. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the spices were flavorful.
I also ordered the "Lamb Curry", which was also delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the curry was not too spicy.
I was particularly impressed with the "Mango Lassi" at HIMAL. It was the best mango lassi I have ever had! It was thick and creamy, and the mango flavor was fresh and delicious.
The customer service at HIMAL was excellent. My server was very friendly and attentive, and he made sure that I had everything I needed. The food was also served very quickly.
The ambience at HIMAL is warm and inviting. The restaurant is decorated in a traditional Nepalese style, and the music is soft and relaxing. It is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at HIMAL. The food was delicious, the customer service was excellent, and the ambience was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend HIMAL to anyone looking for a great place to experience Nepalese food and spices.
However, it is important to note that the vegetarian dishes at HIMAL are not as good as the meat dishes. I ordered the "Royal Paneer", and they were not very flavorful. The vegetables were also overcooked. I would not recommend the vegetarian...
