We had an amazing experience at Stiftskeller in Innsbruck, conveniently located near the City Theatre in the heart of the Old City. The ambiance was wonderful, and the staff made it even better with their hard work and attention to detail. Service was not only quick but outstanding. The food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed every bite—especially given how hungry we were! The portions were generous, and the prices were pleasantly modest, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Drink prices were also very reasonable, which was a nice surprise. For anyone looking to enjoy authentic Austrian cuisine in Innsbruck, we highly recommend Stiftskeller. It’s a fantastic spot for both tourists and locals alike! (P.s. the ketchup and mayo were free of charge)

Restaurant Stiftskeller Innsbruck offers pleasant seating outside with a view of the wall of Grabmal Kaiser Maximilians I. There was a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. Everything was perfect except for one thing that pretty much spoiled the overall experience. The wife ordered a juice with still water because she doesn't like bubbles and the waiter put the order in their system like that, but the wife got a juice with sparkling water. Of course, she found this out only after she had a sip of the drink. The waiter's response was that the drink had already been served and the wife had drunk it, so he was sorry, but the drink could not be replaced. After checking the order, he found out that the mistake was made by the bar and not him. This error in the order was resolved for him. It is totally unacceptable in any restaurant that if a waiter or a bar gives a customer the wrong drink and the customer doesn't want it, they just apologize and say "we won't bring you the drink you ordered and you pay for the wrong drink and do whatever you want with it". The way the waiter handled the situation absolutely disgusted me, but I didn't want to make a scene in the restaurant and demanded they call the manager. They didn't have a good attitude towards us (customers).

The food was very good. We very much enjoyed our time. However, the service was unfriendly (we were shouted at “LOOK LOOK LOOK” for asking if the tables were free for all, or reserved) . The server was only nice to us once they realised we could speak fluently in English. As well, another server included a dish we asked to be removed (because of a mistake of the server in ordering 2x) in our initial bill. They also provided the incorrect wine but had opened it before letting us check the bottle and pouring. The server did not hide their displeasure, and made it seem like it was our fault for their mistake. I would recommend everyone check their bill at this venue, but the food is excellent nonetheless.

Just the site of the entrance to the restaurant is already inviting that it'll make you want to come in to see and try what they got in there. And of course, the inside interior will amaze you and give you that feels that you're kinda like back in the medieval age. Like those in the series, The Witcher, The Last Kingdom, Nightfall, etc. 😍😍 But, most importantly, let's not forget the food. As you can see in the photos, they look delicious and enticing, right? Honest answer? Yes, it was! 🤤 Didn't get to take a photo of the warm chocolate cake with plums because it was delicious I ate it directly.😅 My only problem with it was the size, kinda small for my big appetite especially on chocolate cakes. 😅😜❤️🍻

June 21, 2024. A big restaurant serving Austrian and German food. Indoor and outdoor seating with a Biergarten feel. Caters to tourists, as you can immediately discern from the menu printed in 7 different languages. Food was good for a tourist place, authentic enough, served very quickly, and portions were normal. Could you find a better place that is more for locals? Absolutely. But that doesn’t mean this place is bad. It’s very centrally located, big enough to have quicker guest turnover so you can find a table relatively quickly, and food that is good enough to make this a convenient choice for dinner if you’re wandering around the old town in the evening.
