Stiftskeller — Restaurant in Innsbruck

I went to this restaurant a few days ago while on holidays with my parents and my daughter. We saw the restaurant, read it was traditional food and quit popular. There was a lot of space outdoors but we wanted to sit inside as for us it was cold. We walked in one of the rooms which was big enough and there were 2 waiters (girl and a boy) i asked the girl if she had any table and she offered us (as they were busy) the corner of one of the long tables in a corner. We were happy to get a table but just when we sat down a table of 4 finished and i asked the girl if i could move there as my daughter was slipping in the buggy so we had more space to put the buggy next to us. She said no problem and kept going with her things. On that side of the room was the other waiter the rudest person i met in hospitality (and i met a good few). I left the buggy next to that table and i knew the table was dirty so i was gonna wait for the guy (who was on another table and hadnt seen us) i work in hospitality and i know it s a pain when people sit down on dirty tables. He turned around SCREAMED at us to wait, finished what he was doing walked to us and i said im sorry. Looked at me with the look im gonna killed you without saying anything but saying all and walked away to get the things to clean the table which he cleaned very aggressively. I felt like walking away but i knew he wouldn’t care and with my parents and daughter i decided to stay. His manners taking orders left a lot to be desired! I saw him interacting with other customers and it was nearly the same. After lunch i ordered 2 espressos and he said to me ok but u have to pay now cos im going for my break ok? 🤣 i knew he wanted to get the tip. He gave me the machine and said tip not included what i just nodded. He repeated would you like to leave a tip? Omg after how he treated us! He dare to ask for a tip? For which service? People like that shouldnt be left to deal with customers even if they are efficient. Treating people like that is not the way outside or inside a restaurant. Besides that, food was very nice. I met other members of staff who brought us drinks and food and smile and seemed very pleasant. The place is nice as i said with a beautiful terrace outside. Restaurant Stiftskeller Innsbruck offers pleasant seating outside with a view of the wall of Grabmal Kaiser Maximilians I. There was a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. Everything was perfect except for one thing that pretty much spoiled the overall experience.

The wife ordered a juice with still water because she doesn't like bubbles and the waiter put the order in their system like that, but the wife got a juice with sparkling water. Of course, she found this out only after she had a sip of the drink. The waiter's response was that the drink had already been served and the wife had drunk it, so he was sorry, but the drink could not be replaced. After checking the order, he found out that the mistake was made by the bar and not him. This error in the order was resolved for him.

It is totally unacceptable in any restaurant that if a waiter or a bar gives a customer the wrong drink and the customer doesn't want it, they just apologize and say "we won't bring you the drink you ordered and you pay for the wrong drink and do whatever you want with it".

The way the waiter handled the situation absolutely disgusted me, but I didn't want to make a scene in the restaurant and demanded they call the manager.
