Biergartl an der Donau in Linz Urfahr — Restaurant in Linz

at first it is a nice place close to the river .. but some times if ur couple or alone and mostly they are busy they will sit you at the same table with another couple which is ok i have no problem with that, everything is nice till ... when it comes to paying, who pays first win !!!.. no control on the tables .. it doesn't matter that they were apart and we didn't even talk .. and the best is thet we came even later then they .. soo .. a strange situation and after some strong discussion we paid only our bill .. good dishes, really delicious, although quite small but worth...

Biergartl is Austrian slang for Biergarten (Beer Garden) which is traditianally the way of seating outside and enjoying the beer in the green and thats what you can do here for sure. The place has a good vobe and is clean and comfortable.

This place is a bit on the expensive side but offers a lot of Bio (organic) and tasty food - it seems to be worth it. Its right outside of Linz at the Danube bike easily accessible coming into the city...

Ein Gastgarten 'Biergartl' den man sich nicht schöner und besser platziert wünschen kann. Vom Linzer Hauptplatz kommend Richtung Norden nach Linz-Urfahr, und gleich nach der Brücke links, Richtung Westen zur Donau runter und dann noch ca. 150 m bis zum Biergartl.

Traumhafte Lage direkt an der Donau, im Bereich Alturfahr-West, wo entlang dieser Uferstraße ein ganz natürlich belassener Uferstreifen mit Badestrand ( teils Kies- Schotter, auch Baumbewuchs mit ausreichend schattiger Liegefläche und sogar etwas Sandstrand-Atmosphäre) anschließt.

Im Biergarten selbst findet wirklich jeder sein Plätzchen - wirkt nicht überladen, auch wenn viel los ist - Radfahrer-Stop sowieso ♡ Die Bedienung herzlich und wirklich schnell ♡ das freut natürlich :) Übrigens ab € 20,- kann man mit Karte bezahlen. Wichtig: Spezialitäten ( Speiseöle, etc.) aus der Region, kann man sich direkt im Biergartl ( zum mitnehmen ) kaufen.

Ja und gleich nebenan ( Richtung Nibelungenbrücke ) gibt's Kulturelles von aussen anzusehen - die 'Villa Nunwarz', dort besuchte Karl May von 1842 - 1912 seine Photographen ( Alois Schiesser und Franz Nunwarz ). Da wurden die wirklich bekannten Fotos gemacht ;)
