I'm not that hyped. I've had better. I don't trust their kitchen, so I ordered no food. The menu gives me the impression of some pre-made dished just thrown on a plate, but maybe I'm wrong. I was not impressed by the white wine selection either. Didn't like the Verdejo, not the Riesling. The Sauvignon was good, but 3 glasses is enough for me. You would expect more than 6 options of white wine by the glass from a wine bar, right? Overpriced, as expected. The service was good. They were constantly checking up all tables. Nice.

An excellent post dinner spot in Linz. Classy, with good looking people and a nice selection of open and by-the-bottle wines at very fair prices. If you are not sure what to order, staff will be more than happy to let you try some choices. At the end of our night at the bar we met the new owner Fabian who was one of the nicest people we met during our weekend in Linz. Highly recommend!

A couple of weeks ago some friends & me decided to try out this new hip spot in Linz, that all the the cool kids were talking about for ages. In dreary weather we arrived at Haschka Winebar, where we were greeted by friendly faces with one waitress offering us their best table. This commonly happens to me so it didn't take me by surprise and we accepted without hesitation. The evening was set to begin. Browsing through the wine-menu, I could not help but think: "Someone here sure does have an exquisit taste of wine!" Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Chablis, ... just a few of names that popped up from our french amis. After getting the know the owner who was in charge of this fine selection, we decided to start our journey in good old Champagne. After a while the lights were dimmed and we began to feel like fireflies because of all the Dom Perignon Luminous bottles on our table. Not a big deal. With the occasional shot of Azul-Tequila even our spanish started to improve. All that money for my Babbel spanish classes finally paid off. All in all we had a great time and I would rate this bar a 5/5. Come here, enjoy life, spread love and look at the pig downstairs- I won't...

What a fantastic evening!

After a long day of sightseeing, we settled in Haschka winebar for a glass (read: bottle) of red and some nibbles.

We were in for a treat!

First and most importantly: the service was great! The staff spoke English with us, suggested local Austrian wines and when our meat platter was not available, they sorted us out with a fantastic alternative. All the while, they topped up the water bottles without us having to ask for it.

We couldn't have found a better place to relax and try some local fare. I would highly...
