The best restaurant for breakfast and lunch, with on site bakery and a delicious coffee. Very efficient service, absolutely wonderful staff makes a visit here an amazing experience. I whole heartedly recommend the Emperors’s breakfast (Kaiserfrustuck) with a glass of bubbly. There is a seating area outside, but the inside decor in the era of emperor Franz Josef I persuaded us to enjoy the interior seating. Some staff speaks english, credit cards accepted, clean bathrooms on the premises.

They have around 5 tables outside and some inside as well. Although, if you sit inside in the morning they will take a long time to attend you. There was some mosquitos inside that were annoying. About the price it's affordable. If you take a Cappuccino and a Croissant it's gonna be around 5€. The waitresses speaks a little bit of English, but they were very kind.

The service was terrible. Even if the food was good, they did not make us feel welcome. At all. They acted like we were an inconvenience. They list their closing time at 18.30 but when me and my elderly parents arrived at 17.40 the waitress doesn't even greet us but just says "We're closing in 20" like she wanted to discourage us from sitting down. But then other clients arrived at 17.55 and another couple even at 18.05 and they all got to seat and eat, so the place wasn't really closing at 18, she just wanted us to leave? But it doesn't stop there. We stepped inside to take a look at the desserts in the window. We ask the waitress if she can explain what they have left and she replies "what you see there". If I knew what kind of desserts they were I wouldn't be asking. Finally, I asked for a drink that requires whipped cream and she says "we ran out", so I said I was fine to have the same drink without the whipped cream, she asked me to repeat like that wasn't an option. In the end it turned out they did have some whipped cream left, once again it looked like she initially wanted to discourage me from ordering it because it was a slightly complicated drink to make. Or at least that was my impression after the very poor overall treatment. I wonder if they weren't that famous if they could afford to treat their clients like this? I would honestly recommend trying Jindrak instead...

If you're looking for vegan options :) maybe look for a different cafe.... I picked this place for my grandmother's birthday because it's nice and classical for her and because they're supposed to have vegan options for me... but t hat wasn't the case: they didn't have any pastry or cake that's vegan (though it even said "vegan" on a sticker on the door... ). The service was poor (maybe she just had a bad day?! But the vegan request seemed to be too much). They do have oat milk - although it seems like they don't use it much - mine was sour - had to order a new coffee... Nothing we ordered (the rest of the family isn't vegan) was particularly good (more the opposite....). I hate leaving bad reviews, but I think one should know, if you try the place there is the possibility for it not being the best experience. Well, the interior is really cute cozy old fashioned Austrian coffeehouse style! And maybe they just had a...
