Very disappointed. I ordered Sundubu, a dish with silk/soft tofu whose description was even written in the menu, but the cook didn’t use soft/silk tofu. Instead they use the cheaper version of regular tofu/bean curd. See pictures.
In law it’s called deceptive advertising.
Spotted it on my first bite and asked the server. The server explained that it was the border of the tofu. Come on. Silk tofu never has this border thing. I go out to eat or cook Sundubu every week during winter time and I know this by heart.
It’s ok that something doesn’t taste so good but it’s very much intolerable that the business/restaurant is trying to lie and cheat its customers. And, to the owner/server of this restaurant: what’s the feeling that you paid €70 for a warm cashmere sweater but you end up getting a €10 cheap thin cotton/polyester pullover? Read moreBe aware that they accept ONLY CASH!! The restaurant was small and I was guided to the outside of the building under the tent. For the food, The main dish was of medium quality, and there were only two poor and tiny side dishes. the portion was small so I ordered extra rice. When I finished, I tried to pay with my credit card, but I didn't know they only accepted cash, even in 21st-century Vienna. That is ok, but They never informed me before I placed my order. I was traveling alone from the U.S. and at that moment only had a small amount of cash, which was €5 short of the check. I felt very embarrassed but asked if there was any way they could accept my payment. However, the owner in the kitchen shouted to the server to call the police, which was extremely shameful. It was one of the worst moments of my life. After struggling, I finally found an ATM and withdrew cash, but I had to pay expensive fees. As I handed over the cash, I sarcastically thanked the owner for waiting for me.
Overall, it was the worst experience I had in...
