I was impressed today by the inviting atmosphere and chill music that set the perfect vibe. The food selection was diverse, and I opted for a combination of three dishes. The roasted cauliflower with zafran tahini and mandel was a delightful fusion of flavors, while the Malanzani on fire with hummus zarat and African spices offered a unique experience, and i had to mix both dishes to have even better results 🤌🏻.had to have some crispy pommes frites was a must, completing the meal perfectly. My only suggestion would be to add more spices/ olive oil to enhance the flavor of the Malanzani dish further. However, what truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service provided by the friendly and helpful staff, particularly the gentleman who attended to me downstairs. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great ambiance and delicious fusion cuisine.

On entry I wasn't 100% sure, but the further I stepped in the more I liked it. The pizzas are fresh made and everyone looked like they were having fun. Family busy and nice music Seated at a low table with lean back chairs, not great for eating but it was all that was available , we were moved to a high table when one became available. Our waiter was AMAZING. She was nice and friendly, spoke English with us and taught us how to say pomegranate in German 😅 well timed check-ups and helped with drinks orders Our pizzas were great. Boyfriend couldn't finish his, there was a huge amount of toppings 👌 Cocktails were perfect Pomegranate sprits, mojito, and a raspberry mule all went down a treat. We had an amazing time. Our favourite of all the places we stopped for dinner on our 2 week Vienna tour.

It seems like the hipster-glory times of Freiraum are over and there are new in-places in Vienna. Still, for many, Freiraum still lives up to its standards and has a solid base of repeat customers and fans. To us, it's one of our longest-known eateries and we just love the atmosphere inside and to sit, eat, drink and enjoy. But portion sizes have literally shrunk and the prices now are quite shocking to be honest. Not talking bout inflation here, it has been shocking already last year compared to what we were used to. Food is good, nothing to complain. But nothing super special either. I just wish they would focus on offering more authentic flavors and quality instead of offering everything across the globe. I just feel that trying to offer literally a little bit of everything is just not the right concept anymore if you want to keep up the expected high level of authentic flavours and taste. Like maybe keep the Pizzas and breakfast but try to do really good Ramen for 2 weeks but then only that, or only Tacos but different ones. I never understood why you would offer Thai soup, tacos with pulpo and pizza in the same place. It all means that we settle for not 100% authentic flavor in neither dish. There is always a wholegrain-alternative and you'll find vegan dishes, too. We love that. Especially the whole grain pizza dough is great. Coffee is good, too. But to say that it is still as good and convincing as it used to be 4 years ago, I wouldn't sign that

We got the club sandwich and the American box breakfast for me and the wife and it was pretty good. The American box was a bit bland and had to add salt. The potatoes could've used some seasoning. The avocado in my club sandwich would've been better spread rather than half just in the middle of the sandwich. But it tasted very good, very fresh and the French fries it came with were very tasty. The kids got pizzas which were well made with fresh ingredients. They are big enough to share for children, though, so be careful! They are cooked in a proper pizza oven as well. Service was decent, if not a bit inattentive. We had no idea the menu was only online so we sat there waiting for menus for a good 5 minutes before noticing a small QR code on the nifty bottle/light on the table. Price was decent for the area, nothing unexpected. We also got Aperol spritz with Prosecco, which was on par for Austria. Hard to find one that matches how they are made in Italy, not sure why this is!

FreiRaum is one of our favorite spots in Vienna. The menu covers all kinds of dietary restrictions, and my gluten-free vegan family members can also find something yummy here. Catering to tourists and locals, this eclectic Lokal has amazing breakfast, serves cocktails, and just a coffee too. Free internet. Returned today with my daughter for breakfast, after several years. I can stand by my rating, the "breakfast box" is a great deal, and the breakfast "fuer 1 Leute" is probably enough for two. Good service. There's a little room for improvement there (forgot the milk, a bit slow to come back), but basically good.

Trendy and delicious food, the price is a bit higher than reasonable though. Still pretty nice and friendly staff. It is located on Mariahilfer Straße, so taking a break here during or after an exhausting shopping trip surely is nice! Freiraum offers food from different cultures, e.g. Italian food (pizza etc.), Spanish food (e.g. Spanish tomato soup), American food (e.g. burgers) ... restaurants that offer too many different cuisines often aren't specialised in any if them and the food may turn out disappointing, however in this case, Freiraum pulls off the different kinds of food pretty well!
