My visit to Apadana Restaurant was an unparalleled culinary experience, distinguished by an exceptional standard of gastronomy, ambiance, and hospitality. The Kubideh, a dish of profound refinement, was prepared to absolute perfection—its texture supremely tender, its seasoning masterfully balanced, and its flavor an exquisite symphony of richness and subtle smokiness, indicative of the highest level of culinary craftsmanship. Accompanying this extraordinary entrée was a meticulously prepared portion of rice, each grain impeccably cooked to achieve an ideal consistency, harmonizing effortlessly with the savory juices of the Kubideh. Furthermore, the hummus was a revelation in itself, possessing an impeccably smooth and velvety texture, delicately infused with the natural earthiness of chickpeas and enhanced by the finest quality olive oil, rendering it an exceptional testament to authenticity and finesse. The restaurant’s ambiance exuded a sense of elegance and cultural authenticity, providing a setting of both sophistication and comfort. The service was of the highest caliber, characterized by attentiveness, profound knowledge of Persian culinary traditions, and an unwavering dedication to excellence. In every conceivable aspect, Apadana restaurant demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to quality and authenticity, culminating in an experience that was nothing short of sublime. Without hesitation, I bestow the highest possible commendation upon this establishment and wholeheartedly recommend it to all connoisseurs of fine...
Read moreMy friend and I arrived at Apadana Restaurant at 2:55 PM, but it wasn't until 3:01 PM that a waitress came to take our order. We inquired about the special lunch menu that we had previously called about, which featured Bakhtiyari Kebab with rice. Unfortunately, the waitress informed us that the lunch menu ended at 3:00 PM and could no longer be served.
We explained that we had arrived before 3:00 PM. In Persian culture, it is customary to warmly welcome guests, especially in a quieter restaurant like this one, particularly when the owner is present. As an Iranian, I was shocked to experience so much greed in a so-called Persian restaurant.
Hungry and determined not to leave, we opted for the Kobideh Kebabs at €18 each. However, when we asked for the bill, we were shocked to find the total was €62. This included €36 for the two Kobideh Kebabs, €6.20 for a yogurt drink (Dough), €4.30 for a Coke, €8.50 for a small pot of tea for two, and €7.00 for a piece of Bakhlava.
I found the entire experience incredibly unfriendly and unacceptable, especially being denied the lunch menu and then charged excessively for what was essentially the cheapest meal on the menu, along with exorbitant prices for drinks and dessert. Based on today’s experience, I cannot recommend...
Read moreI had dinner at Apadana with a friend a couple of weeks ago, and the food was not good. We booked online. The restaurant is easily accessible, just across the street from the train station. The atmosphere is calm, the AC works, and the staff are polite and attentive. These are all excellent. But a restaurant is in food business and Apadana’s food is at best average. We were told the vine leaf dolmah is shop-bought, and as one of us was allergic to aubergine, we settled for mast-moosir (yogurt with shallots) and olives for starters, which were nice. We ordered khoresh gheymeh (split pea stew), joojeh kebab (chicken kebab), and soltani kebab. The rice was bland and dry and we weren’t offered butter. The stew was watery, in need of salt and lime, and the split peas were overcooked. The joojeh tasted like boiled chicken and the soktani was dry, very thin, and under-seasoned. In summary, the mains were well below average. For dessert, we had black tea, which was over stewed, and saffron ice cream, which was nice but didn’t have pieces of clotted cream in it. The whole experience was very underwhelming. I can’t recommend this...
