This place charges you for tap water, which is unacceptable, especially considering the fact that Vienna has excellent, high quality clean tap water for free!!! I have never been charged for tap water at a restaurant before and I find it ridiculous that you would bring it to us for free whenever we order wine or coffee. How cheap can you be??? It's not like I am just sitting there sipping water, I ordered lunch with a friend and sometimes you just simply don't want to drink juice or alcohol with your meal... Not to mention, had I known this in advance, I would've never ordered water. I would have put water from the toilet sink into my travelling mug and drink that! The least you could do is tell the clients that you charge the water so that they can make an informed decision. In a world where we try to care about the environment and reduce waste, it doesn't make sense to push the clients to order a bottle of mineral water either. You should be ashamed of yourselves!! I usually leave a tip at a restaurant, but in this case, of course I didn't, and I am never coming back in your...

Very bad experience!!! We ordered 6 sets for 24 people and vegetarians food for another 2 people but chef recommended to order only 4 sets for 24 people because she said the dish is quite big for Asian. The chef promised once we came to the restaurant just ordered for the other two vegetarians and she will make our ordered foods immediately. When we came there was the setting up 18 people for 4 sets of food. The other 6 ordinaries and 2 vegetarians have to sit in the other without food prepared. We have to wait for 1.5 hours to get the food for the 2 vegetarians and the rest. We had to request our order for three times until we got them. We complained the manager all we got. He said if he was there when I called he won’t let my group came in. But once his staff accepted our booking already he has to take responsibility as a manager, right? He also said our group made his business slow down and he lost one take away customer who has been his customer for 7 years. What’s about us!!! The manager doesn’t care about tourist. If you are tourist please don’t come to this place!!! Very...

Very bad experience! On our trip to Vienna, we had gone with our friends to this restaurant around 4:15pm and ordered four dishes to share amongst four of us. When the bill was given to us they charged us 20%additional charge , since we all were non German speaking so we asked what is 'Gedeckt' , the restaurant owner first said it's for the cutlery and when we checked again since we had ordered four dishes and why he is charging additional amount he got baffled making excuses like you didn't order drinks so this is a charge taken in whole of is Europe. When the other two friends said that they ve been staying in Germany for 5years and never come across such thing , he said "you would have not gone to good restraunts so you guys don't know". We were super annoyed and felt insulted and checked if it's as per law since we were tourists in Vienna and did not know about the rules , the icing on the cake was this dialogue of his " I AM THE OWNER AND I CAN CHARGE...

This is a nice Thai restaurant. We made a reservation and I recommend everyone does, because on a Sunday night it was completely packed. Good for them! Service was very polite, ambiance is top notch. The Bangkok Mule was soooo delicious, Thai Ice Tea as well. Food wise everything was piping hot, very fresh and delicious. If you don't mention spicy ness level, the dish will be completely mild (I didn't clock this) so you should specify if you want at least a bit of spice. The soups and appetizers were great, the main dishes were good but not as good as the appetizers. The papaya salad was perfect, it is my favorite Thai dish so I have had many in my life, can say here it was super. Pad Thai was not really to my personal preference, but that is a subjective observation. Overall, I think this is a great place with a large menu, I will be back for a second try.

Food is not terrible but it's so mediocre compared to expectations. Pad Thai was mushy and blend, with finely crumbled peanuts which ruined the texture even more. The rolls were decent. The soup with veggies had more coriander than water, really not to my personal taste. But most importantly the service was insanely slow. Three hours were gone to serve only these three dishes. I really cannot recommend this place especially if you wanna tip your toes in Asian and Thai cuisine as you would come out extremely disappointed. And let's not forget that I paid 25 euros which is not ideal if we consider how shabby the experience was. Normally I would have rated it 3 stars cause it doesn't deserve two, but it needs to be humbled from many way too generous reviews boosting this place rating and misleading people looking for Thai restaurants.

It was my first time in Aroi Thai Restaurant and it gave me the best impressions. The place is so cozy, spacious and clean. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. I can absolutely say that this is the best Thai resto in Vienna. The staff and owner are extremely knowledgeable and make good recommendations. The food is so mouth watering, it felt like I visited Thailand already because of the authenticity of their food. I so love the Papaya salad, Pad thai, Tom yam, milk tea and lots of sumptuous dishes. I enjoyed every bite of the meal. I highly recommend this place especially to the tourists who like an Asian twist on their European escapade. Visit this place and you will never regret it. ❤️
