Tarama Bagels — Restaurant in Vienna

You come. No one looks at you. You sit down. There are dirty dishes after previous customers at the table. Some random girl comes get them. Still no greeting. No eye contact either. You keep sitting and you don't know if you should get up and ask for food or if someone is going to come get your order. But you see other customers asking for their order at the counter so you copy what they're doing. It's your turn. Suddenly you realize you are supposed to know what type of bagel and sauce you want. But while you've been standing in the queue, you didn't know there was such a choice. It wasn't written anywhere. You tell the girl your order and while you're placing your order, some random customer interrupts and the girl starts dealing with the random guy mid-sentence. She messes up your order. She doesn't give you any receipt. She doesn't tell you anything: to stay there, to sit down, to wait... You have no idea what the system is. You sit down and then she announces orders out loud. Multiple customers argue for an identical bagel. No one knows whose turn it is. There is no system. Then it's your turn but you have to tell some hungry customer off because they thought it was their order as you were fetching your order. Absolutely weird vibe. Dirty spoons... Asked for a new spoon for my overpriced coffee. Yet got another dirty spoon. Cold bagel. What is this? And they had the nerve to ask for a tip? Are you kidding me? Time to leave... You get up but no one says a word. Guess who won't be your...

First impression Place: nice,cosy, peaceful. Service : the girl saw me, said hi and immediately continued to do some stuff as if i was not there. No 'I am coming in a minute' or similar warnings..She went back, came again. She did it twice or three times as I was standing there as only customer. It was so weird that if she would do that one more time, I would leave.Bad start.. However, she was beim interaction totaly calm and not rude at all.(not so many interaction took place but still..anyway it was okay) Next two customers...Same happened. Food: I took 'Brownie' and coffee.Brownie was not 'brownie' but 'chocolate cookie in square form'.It was eatable.I would be say ' okay and close to good' if I were reviewing a 'cookie'. I don't like have suprises in this manner.if I would want cookie I would go for cookie. I have not tried bagels yet.I can't say a thing for now. In total, if I want to come again..I probably give another shot for bagels,may be.May be she had a weird day.Possible..I believe second chances. Suggestion: worth to give a chance.nice and coszy, simple...

The staff here were really nice and the service was quick. We ordered cappuccinos, pumpkin spice latte, the pastrami bagel and the new York bagel. Cappuccinos were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed them. However, the bagels were not great. The bread itself tasted freshly made and soft but wasn't what I would imagine as a bagel texture, kind of like it wasn't boiled before baking or something. Just not dense or bouncy enough. The pastrami was very odd, not enough salty elements to balance out the sweetness of the cream cheese and very sweet pickles. The new York bagel was definitely better, the smoked salmon was soft and fresh and the elements worked well together. The pumpkin spice latte was undrinkable unfortunately, it tasted almost as if real pumpkin was added and not pumpkin spice syrup. The latte was nearly salty so it was a very odd experience. All in all, good elements were here but just a few...
