I WAS TOLD VERY IMPOLITELY TO LEAVE THEIR CAFE. I went to quickly get some pastries and eat it and leave , as I was rushing to a doctors appointment. I ordered some food and I sat down to eat it quickly and a blonde lady came outside and told me “you can’t stay here you have to leave” and that I have to order from them. I told them I ordered their food and showed my pastry I was eating , and she said that if I don’t order a drink I have to leave. My friend orders food there very often, sometimes just a croissant and sits outside and eats and they have NEVER EVER told him to leave. KEEP THAT IN MIND. Also keep in mind there were only three people or so and the place was empty, some people were sitting with nothing but tap water, tables were more than available. I was very confused and I would not have minded this if she had kindly came and explained the situation instead of coming to me and the first thing she says is “you need to leave”. I tried to ask to just stay for. A few minutes to eat the pastry I bought from THEM. And she kept telling me to leave repetitively. In front of the three customers I had to get my food and leave . Will never go to this place ever again. I’m hoping it isn’t because I am Asian , that would be ridiculous at this day and age right? The most rudest people I’ve ever met. Specifically the blonde old one. Shes either 89 or 35 god only knows. I had to stand up and eating somewhere on the street in front...
Read moreI have been here several times without any qualms- however this experience has lead to this review.
My friends and I were out and wanted a coffee. One of my friends was finishing up a coke so we all went and took a table, ordered some pastries and our coffees. Out of nowhere the barista comes over and starts yelling at my friend with the soda, "you have not soda in here, you buy here!? do you understand?!"
Instantly we understood, of course we speak english. Yet she CONTINUES to verbally reprimand my friend, who is embarrassed at this point. Every table in the cafe has their heads turned because this barista is SO LOUD. Even though we told her we understand and tell her we will toss out the drink, she continues with her rant. It's as if she had this pent up aggression towards westerners and this was her opportunity to REALLY let off some steam.
My friend was so embarrassed that he left the cafe.
I went to pay for my coffee and talked with the barista (who's name i do not know) and told her it was completely inappropriate for her to talk to us like that. She obviously is not the brightest person in the world.
No more Prindl for me OR my girlfriend, OR my other friends...
Read moreOverall, a lovely location with a great vibe. We visited on a Sunday around lunchtime. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the experience felt a bit disorganized. We had to set up our own table, as the existing setup had been rearranged by other guests and there were no chairs available. Staff seemed very busy, possibly overwhelmed or understaffed for the number of guests.
Because the tables had been moved, it created confusion with the waitstaff, orders were delayed or misplaced since they rely on table numbers in their system. Despite the chaos, the staff were kind and doing their best under pressure.
We waited about 40 minutes for our food. The dishes were okay but not memorable. The Eggs Benedict came with three different sauces, making it feel a bit too heavy, and the bread was quite oily. While the overall flavor was decent, the “soft” egg was unfortunately overcooked in the second dish.
I might not return for a full meal, but the bakery section is worth checking out, some lovely...
