Café Phönixhof — Restaurant in Vienna

I had the best time dining here after I left the other famous restaurant madly without being able to order. The Wiener Schnitzel (veal) here is amazing! Enormous portion with green salad and boiled potato included. It was very tasty and budget friendly. The place has a cosy bar-like design inside, but I preferred to eat outside getting some fresh air. I specifically asked the waiter what his name is because he was too nice and helpful. I want to thank Fabian for his friendly attitude and small chit-chat. He helped me decide on my order and I'm glad I listened to him. I highly recommend this place to everyone. P.S: Gin tonic is only 4.5 euros while the veal schnitzel is only 15 euros. The portion is too big that 2 people can share if they are not extremely hungry. Recently visited this charming restaurant and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and helpful waiter who set the tone for our entire meal. The place itself is cozy with a great atmosphere – fancy enough to feel special, yet not overly posh, striking just the right balance.

The food was a highlight. My husband genuinely enjoyed the Phönix schnitzel, which was cooked to perfection. As a vegetarian, I was delighted by the variety of vegetarian and vegan options available. I chose the Gebackener Camembert, and it was nothing short of delicious. A really nice playlist complemented the overall experience. Staying at AirBNB in area and feel lucky to have found this place. Lady who took our order was very helpful, spoke English (I speak German but she translated some food info I could not ha ha), and the portions are huge. Schnitzel was great, I had stuffed one while wife went with traditional, and accompanying salad very fresh. Also serve hot tea or coffee if beer is not your thing.
