Hidden gem inside Ibis Mariahilf! I didn’t expect to find this kind of place in a hotel — but Günter completely surprised me.

The interior? Retro glamour meets playful elegance. Bold colors, velvet booths, funky floral and leopard chairs, lots of plants, and a ceiling full of golden lights and disco balls it’s like stepping into a stylish dream. Every corner is Instagram-worthy.

The food? Genuinely impressive. We kept ordering because everything was that good. The Burger? Honestly better than what most famous burger chains offer in Vienna , juicy, perfectly cooked, and it instantly brought back memories of my time in the U.S. The Steak and Truffle fries combo? Classic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the cauliflower dish — topped with flowers, pomegranate, and herbs — was both light and packed with flavor. Even the shrimp cocktail felt fresh and fun.

🍹 Cocktails? A highlight. These are serious cocktails — not just for looks, but made by someone who knows balance and flair. Each drink was crafted with real attention to detail.

Bonus: karaoke & live music! Turns out they have a karaoke room you can book (how cool is that?), and they host live music every Saturday… Plus DJ every Thursday Friday and Saturday. Just check their Insta for updates.

Overall: A creative, colorful, and high-quality experience , Günter is the kind of place you come for a bite and end up staying all evening. Stylish, fun, and seriously tasty. We’ll be back....

We were waiting for the drinks and food for 30 to 60 minutes, they all arrived at different times. Some of us already finished their foods, others didn’t even receive their drinks yet. We ordered chai lattes and received matchas instead. When we said we ordered chai lattes, the waitress started to argue with us that matcha and chai latte are the same thing. One bagel was rock hard, you couldn’t bite in it. Another person received their bagel together with the missing drinks after more than an hour, even though there were barely any guests in the restaurant.
