Beispiel:
Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, mainly due to the service. The two male waiters who served us were completely silent and unsmiling the entire time, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
What made things even more uncomfortable was the behavior of the woman who handled the payment at the end. We were a group of 10 and each of us paid separately—which I understand might not be ideal for the staff—but she insisted on a tip from each individual in a way that felt forceful and awkward.
Tipping should be a gesture of appreciation for good service, not something demanded or expected. Not everyone is in a financial position to give extra money and the way she asked made several of us feel pressured and uncomfortable.
As for the food, the risotto was genuinely delicious, which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Some of the other dishes, like the schnitzel, were okay but nothing special—especially the portion size, which was underwhelming compared to what you’d expect in other Vienna restaurants (where the schnitzel often overflows from the plate).
Overall, I would not recommend this place based on our experience with...
Read morewe went there first night after we arrived in vienna from the US. i knew little about austrian or viennese cuisine, kind of assumed that it was similar to german (big mistake! lol even my german friend told me when i shared my delight after my first viennese dinner here "nah, austrians are much better cooks because the city was strongly influenced by Hungarian culture even turks.") i ordered fried quail, my husband ordered pork cutlet (?) we both agree that the quail was one of the best, exquisitely prepared and mushroom sauce was exquisite! his pork was ok. but we would go back to have the quail again and try the duck breast! we love the inside ... very cozy, slight english pub feel with wood paneling. the long bar (for wine/beer/coffee) was awesome! service was good, price very reasonable! place was filled with locals. lovely place to hang out and have a delicious dinner!
we just got back from our second visit! now it is 5 star. we both got guineafowl which was beautifully done. and had desert! we did not know that this place had daily menu. so awesome! we are excited about our next visit - maybe we'll get to eat pheasant!...
