if i could give 10 stars i would! simply the best indian restaurant i have ever been in a very long time! and i lived most of my adult life in princeton NJ! (aka i know indian cooking!) we ordered chicken tikka masala (my go-to dish) and a dish made with boneless lamb whose name escapes me. both meats were super tender, and sauce was full with flavors! we have been on road for 5 weeks and had indian food in ljubiana, trieste (our second hometown), and here at indus. we loved both places in ljubiana and trieste but indus beat them out of water! i told my husband who has fallen in love with indian cuisine on this trip that i would come back to vienna just to eat here again! 😝😝 and the service was impeccable, and meal was also very reasonably priced - both dishes come with rice which at many places are extra charge. back in the US where we live (in FL and in MD) i don't think i could get such high quality cooking with even double the price!...

Thank you for having us and serving the delicious...
Read moreAs a Desi(Indian) tourist who is visiting Vienna, I can vouch that Indus has been one of the closest to actual Indian food I have come across throughout Europe. More than the taste itself I found the staff to be polite, professional and very accommodating. I was unable to decide whether to go with take away or dine in because of my unwell toddler, to which they were very helpful and kind. Applause to Faiz, who was very gracious.
I am not sure of other options, but I can definitely vouch for the Dal makhani which was very authentic and perfectly spiced. Followed by the Chole Pindi.
If you like Indian, you will not at all be...
