Le Pearl Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

One of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've had, the first bad review of a restaurant I've had to leave. The oven is out in the seating area, I saw my cook and waiter drop my pizza on the floor, I figured oh that too bad he'll have to make another I feel sorry. Instead he gives me a mangled pizza he recovers from the floor assuming I didn't see him drop it, as if the cheese being in a pile in the corner didn't give it away. I would of been okay, I did not eat it and ate what else we ordered but I didn't want to pay for the dropped pizza he ruined. He would not recognize the issue with making us pay for a pizza he dropped, we didn't touch the pizza. He also did not give is the correct change. I have never felt as uncomfortable and unfairly treated as I did here. If you go here, do not expect your food to be treated with respect. They took advantage...

Le Pearl was a big surprise for our American/Balkan group. We went there on maybe the rainiest days in the history of Austria and Vienna. City looked kind of empty and the restaurant was also empty at the beginning. We got all the attention. Goran the waiter and the rest of the crew were amazing hosts. Even though we didn’t tell the restaurant in advance that it was one of our kids birthdays, they reacted quickly and made it super special with customized cake, balloons, candles and fantastic atmosphere. They made the whole experience awesome. Finally, yes, the food was great even for the kids who prefer simple food like pizza, chicken or burgers.

When you visit Vienna or live there, and you crave for Middle-eastern type of a food, try this one!

نحن زبائن مطعم شرقي معروف في فيينا (لن أذكر الاسم، كي لا تبدو دعاية) منذ حوالي ١٠ سنوات. ولكن قررنا نمنح هذا المطعم الجديد (او يمكن ادارة جديدة، لا اعلم ولكن يمعنا عنه جديدا) فرصة كون نعلم البدايات صعبة ولدينا حفلة صغيرة في المنزل وناوين نطلب من مطعم. اتصلنا وطلبنا وجبتين لنجرب الاكل، في البداية تركونا عالخط لفترة طويلة، عادوا واتصلوا وطلبنا واعلمناهم اننا في الطريق، وصلنا والطلبية لم تكن جاهزة. كل هذا كان بالنسبة لنا مشكلة بسيطة وممكن تحدث في ارقى المطاعم، والويتر استقبلنا كان محترم. ولكن بعد استلام الطلبية تفاجئنا من قلة ذوق مالك المطعم. قلنا انه ليدنا حفل بعد كم يوم، وعم نجرب لكي نطلب لاحقا. الجواب: اي، بس ما يكون صندويش. قلنا اكيد لا. قال اذا بدكن هون احسن، وفيكون تجيبو المقبلات من البيت.

لا يعلم صاحب المطعم انه يتكلم مع شخص يحمل شهادتين ماجستير وقادر يشتري مطعمه وليس فقط مقبلاته. وكل همنا كان ان ندعمه كونه سوري ومطعم عربي جديد. اي شخص اخر كان ممكن يرمي الطلبية و ٥٠ يورو ويمشي ، ولكن وجود زوجتي ونساء في المطعم بالاضافة الى مكانتي الاجتماعية وتربيتي، منعني الا ان اتصرف بلباقة وامشي.

اول واخر مرة. مستعد ادفع ١٠ اضعاف السعر ولا ارجع لهيك مطعم (اذا كان جايز تسميته بذلك على هذا التعامل الغير لائق ابدا).

Wir sind seit etwa 10 Jahren Kunden eines bekannten orientalischen Restaurants in Wien (ich werde den Namen nicht nennen, um nicht wie eine Werbung zu klingen). Wir haben aber beschlossen, diesem neuen Restaurant (oder vielleicht dem neuen Management, ich weiß es nicht, aber wir kanneten es vorher nicht) eine Chance zu geben, weil wir wissen, dass die Anfänge schwer sind und wir eine kleine Party zu Hause haben und beabsichtigen, von einem Restaurant zu bestellen.

Wir haben angerufen und zwei Gerichte bestellt, um das Essen zu probieren, zuerst ließen sie uns lange in der Leitung, dann riefen sie erneut an und bestellten und wir teilten ihnen mit, dass wir unterwegs waren. Ankamen und die Bestellung noch nicht fertig war. All dies war für uns ein einfaches Problem und kann überall passieren.

Aber nachdem wir die Bestellung erhalten hatten, waren wir von den schlechten Manieren des Restaurantbesitzers überrascht.

Jeder andere hätte die Bestellung und 50 Euro weggeworfen und wäre gegangen, aber die Anwesenheit meiner Frau und anderer Frauen im Restaurant sowie mein sozialer Status und meine Erziehung hinderten mich daran, höflich zu sein und zu gehen
