Found a stone in my food and was treated rudely by the staff! 🤯❌🙅🏼♂️
I had a really disappointing and concerning experience at this restaurant today. I ordered a simple vegetarian curry with rice for lunch. While eating, I discovered an actual stone — about 2 cm in size — inside the curry. It wasn’t a small grain of sand, but a real stone, covered in sauce and barely visible. I’m very lucky I noticed it before biting or swallowing it, because it could have seriously injured me.
I went back to the counter to calmly inform the staff about it, expecting at least a sincere apology and some accountability. Instead, the manager (or person in charge) was dismissive, unbothered, and tried to make excuses. He kept saying things like, “I don’t know how it got there,” or “We don’t have stones here.” — as if that changes the fact that there was literally a stone in my food.
There was no real apology, no concern, and no proper compensation. When I asked for a refund, he only offered to replace the food. I didn’t have time to wait, and even then, all he brought out was just the curry in a plastic cup — no rice, no effort, no kindness. It honestly felt like he was trying to prove a point instead of taking responsibility for a serious hygiene issue.
This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in Vienna. I stayed respectful and calm the whole time, but I was met with rudeness and zero accountability. A stone in food is not a minor issue — it’s dangerous and completely unacceptable. What made it worse was how the situation was handled.
I’ve attached a photo to this review where you can clearly see the stone in the food. I really hope the management sees this and takes it seriously. But for now, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreWe visited Vienna as tourist and went to this restaurant to have Indian food. Our order was delayed and we waited for more than 45 minutes for it to be served. That was also fine but then the problem started as
They forgot to prepare one of our dishes. When we asked about it, they said they forgot to mention it to their chef and started preparing it. Another 10 mins delay. When the dish arrived, they forgot to give us the plates to eat. When we asked for plates, they brought only 1 for 2 of us. When I asked for another plate, the lady serving us became angry and very rudely said "you should have told it earlier". Does it even make sense that we should tell them to get the number of plates. When she brought another plate, again she started a fight that I should have told this to their waiter as she just joined the duty.
So go there only if you have enough patience and if you are prepared to fight with the...
Read moreDisappointing “Too Good To Go” Experience — Too Small, Too Misleading! Booked a meal from this restaurant in Vienna through Too Good To Go, hoping for a decent value meal. Instead, we got a fistful portion for €6.99 — barely enough to call it a meal. To top it off, the so-called “vegetarian” option came with egg-mixed naan. Sure, in Europe egg is often considered vegetarian, but as an Indian restaurant, it’s baffling that they wouldn’t clarify this to an Indian guest who clearly expects the traditional definition of vegetarian.
The flavours? Nothing special — definitely didn’t match the price. And while the extra €0.50 packaging charge was at least mentioned on the app, the overall cost felt nowhere near justified given the quantity and quality.
If you’re looking for value or authentic consideration for dietary preferences, I’d recommend...
