We'd thought of treating ourselves with sweet pastries (like we did in Czechia) before catching the train to the airport. However, this wasn't a nice experience and we regretted it. We ordered an apple strudel, a Sachertorte, and a Mélange. The sweet pastries and coffee were brought out to us in less than 10 minutes as we were sitting outside. The staff got us two glasses of tap water even though we didn't ask for it. The apple strudel: it was cold and the worst was the pastry layers that were dry and chewy. Definitely not made fresh on the day and probably been sitting out for days. The Sachertorte: it was very dry and was overly sweet. When paying the bill, the staff said that there was 10% service charge. This was the staff who took our order and gave us the tap water which we didn't ask for. This was the 'service' we didn't ask for yet he billed us. It wasn't a lot but this had dampened our moods. For definite, avoid food places in tourist areas!

This coffee shop in Vienna was an absolute delight! We had a few chai lattes and some traditional pastries, including the famous Sacher Torte and a ricotta cheese pastry with plum jam. Everything was incredibly delicious. The chai lattes were perfectly spiced and comforting, and the pastries were rich, flavourful, and beautifully made. The service was outstanding, polite, very friendly, and incredibly attentive. Even though we didn’t have a booking, they did their best to accommodate our group of seven plus two prams, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and delicious café experience in Vienna!

This was a bad experience. The head waiter, who looked Asian, was extremely rude and acted like we wouldn’t understand when he spoke in German. My girlfriend and I ordered two to-go coffees because we wanted to sit outside—it was warm inside and no one was sitting indoors. But since I needed to use the restroom, we decided to sit inside. We had even left a tip.

While we were sitting near the kitchen door, the head waiter walked by and, in a rude tone, said in German to his colleagues that we had ordered to-go coffee but were sitting inside drinking it. He clearly didn’t expect my girlfriend to understand German. He then rudely confronted us about the price being different, even though we had tipped. After that, he and his colleagues started mocking us.

Really disappointing and unprofessional behavior. It showed a complete lack of respect and character. I would not recommend this...
