the johann strauss monument is in the stadtpark, which is this big, beautiful city park. ​the statue itself is incredible-it's a golden bronze statue of strauss playing his violin, and it's framed by this white marble arch. he's in this dynamic pose, and it just perfectly captures the spirit of the waltz. it's so photogenic that there's almost always a small line of people waiting to take a picture, but it moves. ​what makes it even better is that it's in the middle of the park, which is full of beautiful trees, flowers, and even a little river running through it. there are statues of other composers there too, like schubert, so it’s a great little walk for music lovers. it's a peaceful place to take a break from the busy city, and the monument is a fantastic tribute to the...

This is a allegorical monument showcasing a gold gilded Johann Strauss, also referred to as the 'Waltz King', He is happily playing violin in front of an arched structure which includes a host of angelic figures surrounding Strauss, having been tranced by his play.
