This is over 10 euros for steamed vegetables and rice. The menu was incorrectly translated (stated Stewed vegetables) and when we confronted the staff about the incorrect translation the waitress was very rude! We understand that she was overwhelmed (the only wait staff working) but we were very calm and rational with our complaint. When we also expressed our unhappiness with the quality of the food (very bad), with mine and my partners she continued to recite the menu and it's description (which was also incorrect , it stated baked and it was deep fried) we recieved no respect and only annoyance. We spent 34 euros on a meal that we both ate a few mouthfulls of and no compensation was offered. We intend to contact the Manager (who wasn't present) tomorrow for a refund. I think fundamentally there is a lack of understanding about food quality for this Restaurant, and that the expectations of many of these reviews must be based on never having consumed good quality food to compare this with. The waitress also debated that I told her I was gluten free, but it was actually the first thing I said whilst she was trying to rush me ordering. She clearly didn't listen and as a waitress myself when I was younger, I have made the same mistake, but never have I argued with a customer so rudely, the fact is the person knows they have allergies and did voice it and I even stated "I am gluten free so there are only two things I can have on this menu, correct? I then asked her to describe both the dishes which she did (again using stewed not steamed). It's a case of incorrect translation (please don't try to argue my mother tounge), which is the responsibility of the Restaurant (as th customers dont write the menus do they?) So when they are wrong! Accept your mistake and apologise, don't degrade your customers and be...
Read moreThe service is terrible, the waitress don’t even speak a world of English, (I don’t believe it, any waitress in the world would learn how to greet and say something in English but she said just rudely that she doesn’t speak English thanks god my partner was speaking German) one time we was there eating and the restaurant was not so busy, maximum other 2 couples, the waitress took the order at the beginning when we arrived, and then she came back to bring the dishes (not really what we ordered, she brought something different at the end) and then never anymore, she didn’t even ask if the food was ok after she brought something wrong, anyway I had to stand up myself to ask for a drink or another paper tissue.. it looked like she was just too lazy to do her job. Yesterday don’t ask me why I went there again, and about the service the food was really terrible this time! The pita was completely no taste(the bread was also not really well cooked) and the feeling was just cold no taste salad, made by fake vegetables (salad and tomatoes really tasted of nothing, this is the cheapest staff you can buy everywhere), pierogi was also not so tasty, and was suppose to have caramelized onions on top, instead they had burned onions on top of it.. but the best was the fried mashroom (Steinpilze) I never seen something like that, who is in the kitchen must be a real incompetent, someone who will send a lot of people to the hospital I think, the mushrooms was going clearly rotten, and he cutted very big chunks of it, so that they didn’t even cook insides while he fried it with lots of breading (too much) it was the most terrible thing I saw in a restaurant in my entire life.. definitely I will never go there anymore, I will not advise this place to my...
Read moreAh, I hate to leave low reviews for vegan and restaurants with vegan options, but I always have to be honest. I made a reservation for 1 before coming here and when I arrived there were two empty tables outside. I asked if I could sit at one and they declined saying it was reserved. Okay, got it, so I took a seat inside. No problem. As time went by and I waited on my food, a couple walked up and asked if they could take one of the tables and sure enough, they were accommodated. I believe, because I was solo, they wanted to reserve the outdoor tables for couples. It was a lovely evening to sit outside.
I ordered a traditional Austrian dish and I simply did not enjoy the combinations of flavors and textures. I would try something else to see if it was just that dish I did not enjoy.
The time came to pay when I was informed that they were cash only. There should be better signage outside and possibly inside stating that it’s cash only. I had to go to an atm to get cash out as this was my last evening in town and I didn’t have any more cash on me. The meal price went up due to me incurring atm fees. I posted a picture of the “cash” sign they have outside; can be easily missed if you’re not looking up.
Sure enough when I left, there was still a table available...
