I come to Vienna every year because I simply love it, and the people are friendly and helpful.
Today is my last night in Vienna, and I have to fly back. Before that, I wanted to grab something to eat. I discovered the restaurant Schnitzel One while passing by, and before I went in, I checked the reviews, as it had the highest ratings. However, then I saw the first new review with one star and read through it. After reading it, I hesitated to go in. I thought about it for a moment and then decided to go in anyway because I didn’t feel like looking for another place. I find it so sad when I see such a review; I almost went somewhere else. Not every place is perfect, and not every wish can be fulfilled. Just because one or two dishes are no longer available, does that mean the restaurant is bad? There were still many other options on the menu. So please, dear tourists, don’t rate based on one small thing that might lead other tourists, like me, to consider going to a different restaurant. As I said, I come to Vienna every year, but this is my first time at Schnitzel One. If I had discovered it earlier, it definitely wouldn’t be my first time, and I promise I will visit you more often on each visit.
And one more thing: my recommendation for everyone who wants to eat there is to order the classic original Wiener Schnitzel. If you’ve had that before, my second recommendation is the Kaiser Schnitzel filled with mushrooms. Hmm, I’ve had schnitzel in Vienna before, which is why I chose the Kaiser; I highly recommend it. 😋😋
Thank you to the attentive waitress.
I don’t often leave reviews, but I give you a 5-star rating from the heart. ❤️...
Read moreI don’t give 1-star reviews without good reason. So, here are the reasons why this restaurant deserves 1 star:
The waitress was disrespectful and rude. We arrived at the restaurant and had to find a table ourselves while the waitress stood at the reception. Then, three white European women arrived, and the waitress immediately welcomed them—very racist behavior. I believe that in the restaurant industry, customer service is crucial. Being impolite and racist is completely unacceptable. The food was not great—just ordinary, nothing special. The prices were also not cheap. We only ordered one dish because we were already full and came specifically to try the schnitzel, as we initially believed it was a good restaurant. However, it felt like the waitress was impolite because we didn’t order two dishes. She placed the main dish in the middle of the table without offering us two small plates or asking anything. If they have a rule that each customer must order a dish, we would understand and follow the rule. But if no such rule exists, it was simply rude and arrogant behavior towards customers. At the end of our meal, two white European men sat near us, and the waitress warmly welcomed them, confirming the racism we witnessed earlier.
So, if you’re reading this review and you’re not white or European, please be aware of the service and the ordinary food. Unless you can’t find another schnitzel restaurant, I’d recommend considering this place only as a last resort. I hope this review helps...
Read moreI wanted to taste Viennese cuisine and had the pleasure of dining at Schnitzel One in Vienna, and it was a truly unforgettable culinary experience! I ordered the Turkey Schnitzel salad and the fish fillet roast, and both dishes exceeded my expectations.
The Turkey Schnitzel salad was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, paired perfectly with fresh greens and a zesty dressing. The portion was generous, and I loved every bite!
The fish fillet roast was cooked to perfection - tender, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The seasoning was spot-on, and the white sauce complemented the fish beautifully.
The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I had everything I needed.
If you're a fan of schnitzel or just looking for a delicious meal in Vienna, Schnitzel One is a must-visit!
