Right, let us talk about LOLA's in Vienna. If you are at all inclined towards tapas, then frankly, a visit here is non-negotiable.
The atmosphere hits you the moment you step inside – it is vibrant and genuinely inviting, a real buzz without being overwhelming. You immediately feel at ease, ready for a good time.
Now, the cooking. Quite simply, the flavours are sensational. Each dish is a small explosion of taste, clearly prepared with skill and a deep understanding of the ingredients. There is a vibrancy and authenticity to the food that is truly remarkable. And I say this having spent a fair amount of time in Spain – this tapas is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best I have ever encountered.
The service complements the food perfectly. The team are warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Knowing they hail from Andalusia adds an extra layer of authenticity to the whole experience. They make you feel incredibly welcome and are always on hand with a smile and helpful suggestion.
The quality of the flavours here is genuinely on par with what you might expect from a Michelin-starred establishment, yet the setting remains wonderfully informal and relaxed. This creates a truly unique and enjoyable dining experience.
And the value for money? Frankly, incredible. To experience food of this calibre, with such fantastic service and atmosphere, at the prices they charge feels almost too good to be true.
LOLA's is a vibrant, authentic, and utterly delicious celebration of Andalusian flavours served with genuine warmth. If you appreciate exceptional food in a relaxed setting, then make your way to LOLA's immediately. You will not be...

Quality ok, but not what I expected, the fish tasted like flour and hadnt been deep fried long enough, the cheese and ham platter had so thin and few slices on it, that it absolutely wasnt worth the money.
Personell was friendly, but very unprofessional (walking by five times without noticing empty trinks, not able to answer questions about food correctly, not removing empty plates for minutes, but walking by again a couple of times).
We hoped for a good spanish restaurant, but its just a typical rip-off in an expensive area.
Not even the Sangria had been good, it tasted watered down and was probably the worst Sangria I ever had in Europe.
Oh and beside the fact that these little platter cost around €10 each - bread costs extra too, Alioli also iirc.
These two plates, the fish and two glasses of watered down Sangria: ~€42 Euros.
Nope, not going...
Read moreIt was our first time at Lola, and we were amazed by how kind the two hosts were. They were impressively attentive and friendly.
When my partner arrived with a bouquet, they immediately provided a vase of water. When we left, they helped us get the flowers back and dried them with a tissue. If you're used to the average service in Austria, these things really make you feel welcome.
The food was really good, too. I've been to Spain about ten times in my life, and this place was authentic. It's not just an average tapas bar; I'd say it's more upmarket in terms of both portions and quality. They even brought an amuse-bouche which was a clear sign that we weren't in an average tavern.
The atmosphere was pleasant too, and the location was small and well curated.
In my opinion, the prices are aligned to the quality of the food, the service, the location and current restaurant...
