Title: A Taste of Peru in the Heart of Vienna: Exploring QERO

My recent culinary adventure at QERO in Vienna transported me to the vibrant and diverse flavors of Peru. This charming establishment offers a delightful immersion into Peruvian cuisine, capturing the essence of the country's culinary heritage while adding its own unique twists.

The ambiance strikes a balance between modernity and traditional Peruvian aesthetics. The décor reflects the country's cultural motifs and color palettes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're dining alone or with a group, the restaurant's cozy yet spacious layout ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Now, onto the highlight of the visit—the food. QERO boasts a menu that celebrates the diversity of Peruvian gastronomy. From ceviches bursting with freshness to savory empanadas and comforting stews, the selection takes your taste buds on a journey through various regions of Peru. The incorporation of local Austrian ingredients into traditional Peruvian dishes is a delightful touch that bridges two culinary worlds.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of savoring classics like Lomo Saltado and Anticuchos, each prepared with a genuine respect for authentic Peruvian flavors. The seafood dishes were particularly impressive, with ceviches and tiraditos showcasing the harmony of zesty marinades and fresh catches. The use of indigenous ingredients such as aji amarillo and rocoto peppers added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.

The service at QERO was attentive and knowledgeable, with the staff eager to share insights into the dishes and their cultural significance. Their passion for the cuisine shone through, making the dining experience not only delicious but also educational.

In terms of pricing, QERO offers reasonable value considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. While it might be slightly higher priced than some other dining options, the authentic flavors and unique offerings justify the cost.

One potential consideration is that QERO can become quite popular, especially during peak dining hours. It's advisable to make a reservation to ensure a table and a seamless dining experience.

In summary, QERO is a hidden gem in Vienna, offering a genuine and mouthwatering journey into the diverse and colorful world of Peruvian cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado of Peruvian food or a curious newcomer, this restaurant promises a delightful experience that captures the essence of Peru's culinary traditions while embracing the local Viennese...

Fantastically delicious and friendly Peruvian restaurant! We almost found Qero by accident and wanted to try it to see what it was like. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and helpful and fun, and the menu had a good selection of authentic Peruvian dishes with a modern twist. My wife and I spent 4 weeks travelling round all of Peru for our honeymoon a couple of years ago, so we were interested to see how well they could replicate the cuisine all the way over here in Vienna. We were not disappointed, as the Pisco Sours were as good as any of the best drinks we had in Peru. And when the dishes arrived we were in awe of the beautiful artistry of the chef and almost didn't want to destroy these gorgeous creations. But they tasted just as good. Everything was delicious, but the perfectly seared red tuna fillet was amazing. And make sure that you leave room for their desserts, as they were the highlight of the meal. The light fluffy mango mouse on a chocolate biscuit base is heavenly, and the dulche de leche soufflé with peach tamarind champagne sorbet...

The food was good, the waitress was excellent, however the manager has tainted the whole experience over a house cocktail. We had a voucher for a free drink from our last visit, but we did not have it with us, however we could show the reservation from the 14th of February when they were giving out those vouchers.

We informed the waitress before we ordered and as a reasonable person she said that it was ok. However, when we received the bill the cocktail was included, when we raised the issue the manager came to us saying that we cannot expect a free drink without bringing a voucher. We explained him the situation saying that the drink was already approved by his staff. He listened and went away to talk to the waitress. Afterwards he sent the poor girl to reconfirm that we cannot have the drink.

This coward did not have the guts to come back to the table. The waitress invited us personally for the drink, obviously we left enough money to cover it and left.

Unfortunately the manager himself spoils the reputation of otherwise a good restaurant....
