Great food and a lovely atmosphere. We had a really enjoyable time here. The service was a bit slow and a little disorganized—they brought out our dishes at different times even though we were just two people, which felt a bit odd. Still, the staff were friendly and the food was worth the wait. We had the soup, salad, and fries—the fries were especially delicious, crispy and full of flavor. The salad we were told is medium spicy but it was really spicy—beware! There’s also a Thai tea on the menu that was really good, a nice surprise. The outdoor seating area is very pleasant, cozy and welcoming, and the playlist of 90s hits added a fun and nostalgic vibe. It does get quite full, so it’s best to come early if you want a good spot. The only downside is that they only accept cash, which is a bit inconvenient. But otherwise, it’s a great place and I’d definitely recommend it and return.

Mamamon’s one of those places you keep hearing about. Locals talk it up. A tiny spot with real charm, the kind of place you want to like before you’ve even sat down. Service was friendly, easygoing, but really slow. But you let it slide, because the vibe’s good and, when the food finally lands, it delivers. The fries? Great. Crispy, golden, dangerously addictive, the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. The Pad Thai was a pleasant surprise. Balanced, bright, with shrimp cooked just right, tender, no rubbery chew, which happens more often than it should. Now the chicken wings… texturally, a masterpiece. That crispy skin you can hear across the table. Flavor-wise? Not totally my thing, but my friend went absolutely feral for them. So maybe it’s me. Overall, great food, good energy, a little slow on the draw, but worth the wait. A place that earns its reputation, mostly.

This place deserves a good reputation for good Thai food, but service is really lacking. I had made a reservation for Saturday night dinner which we were told got "lost in the system" but luckily we were still able to be seated. We ordered two appetizers that came 15 minutes apart, and our 2 mains were served 20 minutes apart, such that we didn't fully eat together to avoid eating a cold meal. Flavor was delicious and staff were kind, but the service is too overwhelmed for the volume of business they get. Reservations were only available by phone which is a shame and the shop is cash only. Overall, good food (great pork belly appetizer) but the lack of enough service and modernity really put a damper on our evening. Not totally the staff's fault, but still a shame.

I called today to make a reservation and have been told on the Phone that this place does not accept sny reservations, but if i am willing to wait a little if all terasse tables are occupied it should not be a problem to have a table.... This was a lie!

We arrived in the evening and did see one empty table and we did sit down there only to be told by a caucasian waitress that the table is already reserved...Hmmm... Not talking about my earlier phone call yet, we said that we can wait for another table. But again we have been told that all Terasse tables are reserved for the whole evening..... I was angry at this stage....we have neen lied to on the Phone and travelled far to eat at this place! So, .... finally we decided to sit inside and the waitress who took our food order did order one wrong dish with the Kitchen. When pointing out this error to her we have been informed that the dish we want is not available!

Myself did order crip pork belly...but got simply deep fried slices of pork belly... This was not as expected and very shocking as I know Thai food 'very' well living in Thailand 38 years and manage Hotels and Restaurants... There is no excuse for this! I was also served rice as I ordered (not even quality Rice) but I did not receive any cutlery to eat the Rice. I reminded the service staff about it, but not a change, i did not get any cutlery.....

I did eat the slices of deep-fried pork belly with my hand as i was hungry and which is not a problem for me.... but its very wrong not to get any cutlery even when asking for it! I will never go back to this place.

The cooks are ok and friendly, but the two caucssian waitresses are...

Great , authentic Thai food - which in addition to the idyllic outside garden space - is my main reason for repeatedly going there still. Unfortunately, the service at Mamamon is hands-down the worst service I have ever encountered in Vienna. Every time I decide to go there, I have to ask myself the question beforehand , whether I am willing to put up with such a horrible service quality today, if my craving for their tasty food is stronger than that or not? During our last visit the waitress came over, asked us if we already know what we´re gonna order without even handing us a menu. Then she brought us only one drink after 10 minutes, I had to wait for my drink for another 15 minutes. She walked around with an empty tray not taking orders, not bringing any food to the tables, mixing up every single order and putting the tray full of food on a random table where people sit. We arrived at 18:00 and our food came at 19:30. We contemplated to take it all to-go at this point.

I guess I´ll still keep going there because I love their food but I would love to meet up with like minded people who think the same way about the place. Maybe we can go there together and have...
