Mat's Würstelstand — Restaurant in Vienna

A typical small Viennese Wurstelstand - a street stand offering various sausages with some bread.

Restaurants in Vienna close quite early, so a local stand is far better than some fast-food chains (yes, looking at you, nearby McDonalds).

The owner is quite cool and friendly guy who speaks english and will feed you in a blink of an eye. I tried the (mildly) spicy cheese sausage with mustard and a bread for €5.5 and it was decent, even though the bread could be fresher.

I also liked the atmosphere and weird quirky people coming here to grab a quick meal. Two older men connected by a leash to each other. Couple of Austrian guys trying to pick up foreign girls by telling them stories about their own birth experience in broken english. Super...
