I was always a fan of this restaurant and even brought international guests here. The Lamien was always great. Also were the rice dishes on the dinner menus. We were here again today as we were walking through the city and stopped for a small dinner. Didn’t choose the lamien today as my favorite sea food curry was taken of the menus. Remembered the good rice bowl with beef and Thai basil. This was made with bite spice cubes of tender meet in the past. Now it is done with thin sliced beef (also not the same quality as I remember). Taste was OK, but nothing that I would recommend to go to the restaurant. My wife had a Thai (chicken) curry very oily and probably 50% made of bamboo sprouts. It was not spicy and taste was quite sweet. As starters we had Tom kah Gai (sure I wrote this wrong). Again OK but could have been more sour taste. The second starter was a papaya salad. Not spicy and too sweet.
It is not anymore the same as it was in the past. We were disappointed. It is not bad but not anymore special.
I would give 3 stars as it is very average. I cannot understand why a restaurant today does not take credit cards (even they took it in the past). Don’t tell me it is the cost. This is the final reason I will bill not come back anymore. Unfortunately we liked the concept...
Read more🍜 I recently had the pleasure of dining at ra'mien Restaurant and overall, it was a positive experience. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The menu offers a variety of Chinese and Asian cuisines, with a focus on soups. The prices are reasonable and won't break the bank.
👍 The vegetarian-friendly and vegan options are a big plus, making it a great spot for those with dietary restrictions. The gluten-free options are also appreciated.
👎 However, the service was a bit slow, and it took a while for our food to arrive. Additionally, some of the dishes were a bit too salty for my taste.
👍 On the plus side, the portions were generous, and the flavors were authentic and bold. I particularly enjoyed the dumplings and the hot and sour soup.
In summary, ra'mien Restaurant is a good choice for a casual night out with friends or family. The vegetarian and vegan options are a big plus, but be prepared for slow service and salty dishes. Overall, a decent spot for a satisfying meal without...
Read moreI had Chicken Pho and my friend ordered Chicken La'mien. Both dishes lacked any flavor and seasoning, the broth used for Pho had no taste at all, I have even troubles to believe it was a chicken broth at all. Do you use vegetable broth as a base for all your Phos? The fact that the soups offered as Pho do not have much in common with real Vietnamese dish and ramen is not offered at all, did not bother me as much as the general lack of any taste.
The rating could be slightly better if the space itself would be pleasant, warm and welcoming. However, the restaurant have looks and atmosphere of a cheap canteen.
The service was nice and friendly though, speaking good German and English. They quickly noticed we did not enjoy our meal and took untouched meal away. However, they did not offer any solution and we left hungry even though we paid the whole bill.
All in all, the restaurant name can be misleading and the names of the dishes on the menu too. The quality of food and restaurant's setting do not correspond the price range. I cannot...
