Hi, this is a long one, the summary: better eat elsewhere because the food is no go for the price tag.
The cafe is nicely situated next to the popular tourist attractions, so it most likely doesn't see much of its customers coming back. I wouldn't either, and below I'm gonna explain why.
First, we ordered drinks to hydrate ourselves: a soda with lemon and a porter. This part is hard to ruin, so it was a smooth start.
Next, I needed to see their WC, and I got confused because, well, it was labelled in a very unusual fashion. So they have two doors near the bar counter, one labelled PRIVATE ONLY and the other one with this label of a person with something very slightly resembling a tie. Whether there used to be a tie for real when the cafe had seen its better years, or it's just dirty, or it's the way they depict the WC as a gender neutral one - I have no idea. Was I private enough to dare to look what behind the PRIVATE ONLY door? Very unlikely. So I resided to enter the first room suspiciously marked by the figure of a human being as the nature was calling, and discovered the following: filthy room, water spilled here and there, no tissues, no toilet paper in the holder, but a piece graciously placed on the top of it. It was on Saturday near 14pm, and the cafe was far from being overcrowded with customers, so my guess would be that no one took care of the WC since Friday at least. No way it's okay by the look of their pricey menu.
You may think that this fascinating story about my toilet trip there is irrelevant, but at that very moment I got a feeling that it's not the only thing, which would make me hesitant about visiting this place again.
Soon thereafter we got our meals: a pulled pork burger and their special addiction to rock burger. Let's start with the pork burger: the bun was tasty, but the amount of vegetables under it was a little weird. In fact, I didn't find any at first, but then there was some in the center and on the one side. The meat underneath tasted as it should, except for the fact that it was way too salty. Remember the refreshing lemon soda? It didn't help much. Ultimately, I didn't manage to finish the burger, which cost me about 9-10€.
Secondly, this addiction to rock burger of theirs looked like a sound piece of cooking. The black bun turned out to be bitter though. I have no explanation for this too as food colourants aren't supposed to give any taste to the end product at all.
By the way, don't expect to get your burger served with fries without having to pay extra for it. What is a custom at other places, is an additional dish here, the tiny portion of which is just ridiculous for the price tag of 3-5€. The steakhouse fries we got were definitely burned here and there with way too much salt upon all that, for which they were left unfinished.
One last thing, which I didn't get, is this line at the very bottom of the drinks menu: "tip is not included". Why would anyone put something like that in the menu? Okay, maybe they charge extra for serving the 5th beer to the same customer, but how is it relatable to the soft drinks? Do I have to tip for a glass of tap water too or what? Wow.
Regardless of the food, you'll surely get a good customer service there, the personnel of the front house is the best. It's very nice indeed, but you know what? It's the food I came for, I didn't like it, and as no tourist I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreHere at Fashion-Café-Bar Addicted To Rock Store makes the heart of every rock-loving person beat faster. The concept is simple but effective: The Addicted To Rock combinates a store to buy fancy clothes with a bar and a restaurant.
The delicious food is served with good rock music in the background and for reasonable prices. The staff with German accent is very welcoming, ready to speak English with you and very friendly.
Here you get a traditional Austrian dish: The Schweinsbraten mit Knödel (Pork Roast with Bread Dumplings) together my Elderberry Juice with Soda.
And the friendly staff was very willing to follow to my wish as Austrian for more sauce on my Pork Roast. So don’t be shy to do the same if you are more the saucy-type like me.
The program of the month as first page of the menu comes in handy.
The seats are comfortable to spend a while in, since you will sit in couches and sofa-chairs, they have free WiFi and the opening hours are welcoming as well. The Addicted To Rock closes from Sunday to Thursday at midnight and at Fridays and Saturdays at 02:00 (2 am).

Read moreWe went there for the Burgers, not for music or drinks - so this review is a little one-sided The burgers seemed to be special on the menu, uncommon ingredients, original sauces, sweet potatoe chips... But the burgers lacked finesse in all basic things The meat was way to salty (on that evening at least), the sauce was so strong and sour, it 'screamed' over every other ingredient (and I love sauces, and I don't mind (a good) sour taste) It was like there was no conductor, that created a harmonious, melodic experience - but like a few overrated, badly prepared, solo players with fancy names, who did what they could best, without regards to creating a unique whole ;)
But the couple sitting at the next table really loved their special gin and special tonic drinks and a lot of burgers were carried past us towards a happy crowd
So, try it for yourselves we won't give it another shot though, at least not in the...
