Caesar salad with extra shrimps, and it was flavorful. However, towards the end of my meal, I bit into a white stone that had apparently settled at the bottom of the plate. It was a surprising and unpleasant experience, and quite concerning considering the potential risk if someone were to swallow it.
I informed our waitress immediately, and she was equally shocked. She kindly offered to bring a new salad, but since I had already finished most of it, I declined. I simply wanted the team to be aware, as this could have ended quite differently for someone else.
The service throughout the evening was generally attentive and friendly. However, I was disappointed by the way the issue was handled by the member of management who had also served our table. When we received the bill, the salad was still included. Upon addressing this, she insisted that since the salad had been eaten and a replacement had been offered, there was no reason for further discussion.
I challenged this perspective, explaining that as a matter of good customer service—especially in a situation where a guest found a foreign object in their food—it would have been more appropriate to remove the item from the bill without hesitation, and ideally offer a small gesture of apology.
Eventually, the salad was removed from the invoice, but the entire conversation felt unnecessary and disappointing. This interaction, unfortunately, reflects a broader issue with customer service standards that we’ve noticed in Vienna.

Read moreWe made a reservation at 9:30, and reached a few minutes early to the reservation, and to our surprise our booking was pushed till 10:00, they made it seem like we had the timing wrong. But we had the reservation details to prove it, we didn't mind the wait but then after we got seated the waiter who took our order couldn't even get our drinks correctly, we asked twice for a cup with no ice for our drinks and it seems like he was very frustrated. We ignored it because we were eager to try the restaurant. All the tables around us had bread and butter starter except ours, we waited such a long time for our dish to be served and even then, it was served with no cutlery.. the experience was beyond disappointing and the service was worse, the steak didn't taste as expected and I would never visit again, they weren't welcoming at all and disregarded us the whole time. and to top it off they were about to charge us for 2 bread baskets & butter which we never ordered. We confronted them of course and asked them to remove it from the bill, but I wouldn't visit again really bad service. Ruined our last night in Vienna. Tried better sorry not sorry for my comment.
They did offer us a voucher but I'm still very much disappointed from...
