"Stepping into 'The Everest Nepalese' in Austria was like discovering a hidden gem that seamlessly blended Nepalese flavors with Austrian hospitality. The momos were exquisite, their delicate exterior revealing a burst of authentic spices and fillings that transported me to the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. The chowmein had the perfect medley of textures and tastes, a comforting embrace of familiarity with a touch of exotic allure.
The biryani was a symphony of fragrant rice and tender chicken, each mouthful a journey through Nepal's culinary heritage. The chicken gravy was a revelation, coating succulent pieces of meat with a rich blend of flavors that left a lasting impression.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was simply horrible and unacceptable.
I ordered the vegetarian Dal Bhat Takari. To my shock, the dish was served with chicken. I informed the staff immediately, expecting a sincere apology and a corrected meal. What followed instead was a frustrating series of missteps that made a bad situation worse.
They claimed to replace the entire order, but what I received was the same dish with the chicken removed— replaced with a token vegetable—hardly a respectful or trustworthy solution.
There was no acknowledgement of the seriousness of serving meat to someone who ordered vegetarian—not even a hint of understanding or accountability. However, one waiter apologized and was nice. To make matters worse, the manager was not only unhelpful but outright arrogant.
This wasn't just poor service—it showed a complete lack of integrity and professionalism. Also, dish have long wait time. For anyone with dietary restrictions or expectations of even basic respect from restaurant staff, I can not recommend this place. I certainly won’t be...
Read moreA very original Nepalese restaurant, clearly run by people with authentic roots and experience. The food was tasty and traditional, though I’m not sure I’m a full fan of Nepalese cuisine — I probably prefer Indian. When our friend asked for some extra spice, they went overboard, making it nearly inedible, but otherwise everything was delicious. The place attracts many people connected to the culture, and the decor felt authentically Nepalese. My dessert, gulab jamun with mango mousse, was tasty but a bit disappointing — just one small ball. Compared to Indian cuisine, the food felt a little dry, with less sauce, but the variety of vegetables and flavorful small side dishes made up for it. The spicy chai tea was nice, though I’ve had better elsewhere in Vienna. One downside: the service was quite slow. Worth visiting as a cultural and culinary experience — and I’d...
