The food was very bad--salty, burnt, and had egg shells in it. When we asked politely for a discount (not even a refund) the Manager chuckled and said that we should have asked at the beginning, suggesting that we ate too much of the food to be eligible for a discount (see photo attached of the English Breakfast of which less than a third was eaten). I wouldn't usually write a review, but I wanted to share the feedback about the food because the manager didn't care to ask what exactly made us unsatisfied with the quality of our meal. She was, instead, quick to accuse of us trying to comp a free meal: "next time ask when you first get your dish not when you're paying". I wanted to like the food--we we're catching a 4 hour train shortly after--but it was so horrible that we had to go to another restaurant (Gold Egg -- highly recommend!!). The bacon left a film of oil over the entire dish which was composed of beans in a spicy chili sauce, burnt eggs, two slices of tomato, and two boiled hot dogs. Unfortunately the manager does not seem to care about the quality of their food nor the opinions of the patrons. This can be an effecient business model if you are located next to the train station where you are guaranteed a high turn over on new customers. However, it is unfortunate that our first visit to this city ended with this negative experience. Coming from the Czech Republic, where service norms are notoriously below average, we were thrilled to have had such amazing experiences at all the restaurants we visited during our weekend stay, that is, of course, besides the 15 Sweet Minutes Cafe. This dichotomy has definitely raised questions for us: - to what extent is the customer service at weekend brunch restaurants influenced by it's distance to mass transit areas? - why would you put chili beans in an English Breakfast? And is this a joke? - is there a connection between positively receiving customer feedback on a consumer experience and the languages between interlocuteurs?

Just a few minutes walk from Wein HBF station and another 10mins walk from Belvedere Park and Palace it's in a brilliant location and I must say it has to be a stop off for everyone visiting Vienna. A beautiful cafe, designed with so much love it's like I'm stepping from the cold rain.into a warm eccentric hug, it has such a homely feeling to it with a lovely atmosphere from the plants scattered all around, to the books and hanging shelves, it truly is a beautiful cafe and place to go with your loved ones. Let's get down to the review, so service wise we were looked after by the lovely Serap (absolutely amazing) who sat us down and went through the menu and helped us with our Dietary needs. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Fried Egg Paprika toast, a tea and of course Viennese coffee. Now the food, firstly can I just say presentation wise it has to be the most vibrant, colourful, well presented plate of brunch I have ever seen. Taste wise it was absolutely spot on the egg was cooked to perfection, the hollandaise sauce ( something me and my Mrs are fussy about ) was perfectly balanced in flavours and the muffin was thick, buttery and toasted to perfection. It was our last day in Vienna so we were so upset when we found this gem of a place, nothing short of a 10/10 for us. Serap thank you for your hospitality and an absolute chef kiss to the cooks keep doing what your doing!

I don't like to leave negative reviews but on this occasion I feel I must. I decided to order the American panckakes for €7.70 (roughly). On the menu it came listed as blueberry pancakes. There was 'Austrian' pancakes also which came with Banana and Nutella. I decided I would like the American pancakes but with Banana and Nutella. I also asked for a little bit of butter for the pancakes. No problem said the waiter with the well spoken English who I suspect was also the owner. I ordered coffee latte at €3.90. Fine, no problem so far. My order arrives out. I received what looked like shop purchased pancakes (maybe they were honemade). They came with blueberries, strawberries and kiwi fruit with some cream. Not what I had ordered?? It looked nice and didn't want to complain so took it. I asked for a little bit more maple syrup as I only received a small cup the size of a two egg cups with my order. The pancakes were reasonably okay. I asked for another coffee by holding my cup up to the waiter who had served me (unspoken to be another latte). As far as I was concerned when I received ihe coffee that it was another latte as that's what I had been drinking. Apparently however when I received my bill, it was listed as a Cappuccino for €4.30. The problem increased with the bill. As stated, already, I was charged and extra 0.40 for my second coffee. I was further charged an extra €1.70 approximately for the 'extra' maple syrup and €1.30 for the little pat of butter. I was further charged €3.50 approximately for 'extra fruit' which I never asked for ( had asked for Banana and Nutella). The bill came to a little over €20 for what I had anticipated should have been about €13.50. I have no problem paying for good food. However, I just found that I was been over charged' as a 'tourist' with extra charges. I can't see why I should have been recharged for an extra bit of syrup which I felt I would have already paid for in tge price of the pancakes. I thought it was 'petty'and 'bill adding the tourist' for a little bit of butter which should have come with the the pancakes as standard. I also don't understand how the coffee went from 3.90 for the first one to 4.30 for the second coffee. How could a simple order have been messed up so completely unless as i suspect these were 'deliberate add on's' for the tourist. This is a long review but I have a principle that if i feel I am over charged or targeted as a 'tourist' I will take my time to tell other people and leave a...

I used to like this place, but the last two times I went there I had bad experiences. The last time was the worst. My boyfriend and I went to get some eggs benedict - my favorite dish of theirs! It was a busy morning, and we knew we'd probably have to wait a bit and were fine with it. We were sat inside, placed our coffee and food orders, but when a seat outside opened up we decided we'd like to sit there. We informed our waitress and moved. Then it took awhile for us to receive our coffee. We realized it might have been a mix up due to our seat change, so we reminded our waitress we were waiting for our coffee. She then brought it out, but at this point it was about an hour since we had placed our original order, and there was still no sign of our food. We asked our waitress about the wait, she seemed confused but not at all apologetic, and said she'd check on our food. After awhile she came back out to us and said they'd start making our food immediately. I'm sorry, but they should've started making our food before over an hour had passed! We told her nevermind, we would just like to pay for our coffees and leave, since we didn't want to spend any more time there. She returned awhile later, but not with the check. She said our food was coming up. We reminded her we had cancelled this order because as of now it had been such a long time since we placed our order, and we had plans for the day. Since she said the food was almost ready we told her we'd just take it in a to-go box and eat it at home. The waitress then brought us our check, and was just completely unapologetic about the whole experience. She honestly didn't seem to think there was an issue with customers waiting for over an 1.5 hours for food (when people who arrived after us were getting theirs), or with her completely disregarding our wishes. I would also like to add that the correspondence was done in German, so I can't even chalk it up to a language barrier. To make matters work, when we got home and opened our to go boxes, the eggs in my eggs benedict were SO over cooked - no runny yolk whatsoever. I'm assuming the eggs were being cooked for entire time we were waiting for food. We used to go to this cafe a few times a month, but this whole ordeal (which happened in the Fall) left such a bad taste in our mouth that we haven't been back since. Such a bummer - this cafe is just a few blocks from our apartment, but it's like we lost our...

poor organisation of the place. Horrendous waiting time. No attention to the customer at all. Food was okay though. (I do not write reviews usually, but my experience was so bad, that I felt the need to warn others.)

I wanted to reserve a table before going there and the phone number didn´t work. No other number on the webpage, facebook site was found. I wrote a mail to reserve a table. I never got a reply.

We went there without reservation and it was crowded. Finally we were lucky and got a table. It took 15 minutes till after we sat down till we were attended. I placed my order a few minutes after my companion. The food arrived with nearly 50 minutes time difference. Meaning after my companion had finished his meal I still had to wait 40 minutes for my food to arrive. So I tried to cancel my order after 30 more minutes wait. They sayed it wasn´t possible, cause they are already preparing it. Which was not true. It took another 20 minutes for my food to arrive. It is just not cool. I went out with the intention of having food with someone, not sitting around and wait together and eat seperately....

In the end I wanted to pay with a gift voucher. Since the amount of the food we ate was just a bit above the half of the value of the voucher I would have liked to get back a voucher for the remaining amount. (Not possible they sayed me, but offered to take goods for the value) I sayed that this is quite disappoining to me and that I am not satisfied with it, and got the answer that there was nothing to do about it cause the manager sayed no.

Even though the variety of dishes is big and the food looked really good (I had ok pancakes, but other dishes really looked fine) the missing attention just ruined everything for me. The waiters were not impolite, they were quite friendly actually. Just not in control of the place. I worked in customer service too and I understand that mistakes can happen. But in this case just everything from the very first step (trying to reserve a table) till the end (paying the bill), placing and receiving orders went wrong. And after mentionig it there was no reaction or no intention to...
