Definitely worth a visit. This is one of those cafés that is a real hidden gem in a huge city. But let me emphasise a few things first. The owner is a very kind and helpful English-speaking lady who will explain anything to you. The service is prompt, not lazy like in many other cafés, you virtually don't need to wait at all for your coffee to be prepared. Furthermore, despite being tiny, as there are only a few tables, the café is extremely cosy and gives off a hipster-ish vibe so that you can chill and relax. As for the coffee itself - it is neither bad nor good, I'd say it is above that. It seems like the owner really takes into consideration minute details while brewing coffee, probably including water density, temperature, ground coffee size and all the other things that the usual coffee drinker is unaware of, thus ending up with a specialty coffee that offers its individual, rich taste. Not only that but it is also one of few cafés I've been to where you get water in a glass to rinse your palate. The cheesecake is also a must for those who have a sweet tooth. It seems to be made of natural ingredients without any unnecessary sugar or preservatives added. If you're in Vienna and you enjoy your cup of coffee, this...
Read moreI'll tell you the exact experience I had here, and you can judge for yourself. The photos looked good, so I took a long trip to visit them. When I got there, I showed them the hot chocolate vid that prompted my journey and asked if it's still the same chocolate they make now and what was in it. One lady gave the most unbothered face she could summon, and after a negative answer with a raised eyebrow, she said "I don't know, I couldn't tell ya, I wasn't working here then." I didn't know whether you worked here back then or not, that's why I asked for details. Why must you raise an eyebrow answering a simple question? What signal did you want to send to me, your customer? In hindsight, I guess I should have read the negative reviews before I came here. After all, that's how I usually vet establishments. Those negative reviews really align with my experience that day. About the chocolate: not that great. It tasted no better than what you would get at any cookie-cutter kawaii coffee shop in Japan for teenage girls. In Viennese standard, it's...
Read moreThe Truth is a small, cozy coffee spot in Vienna that prides itself on quality over quantity. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and inviting, with a staff that greets guests warmly and adds to the welcoming charm. Seating is limited, so timing is key if you want to linger.
The beverages are of high quality, crafted with care, while the cheesecake is the star of the menu: soft, indulgent, and beautifully executed — though leaning heavily on the sweet side. Sweets and coffee here feel more refined than mainstream café fare, making this a destination for those seeking a treat with character.
A café that values craft and coziness, The Truth is a delightful stop for anyone in search of a memorable dessert and excellent...
