Went there with my boyfriend after our visit at the museum. The foods and drinks were rather expensive, but I guess you pay for the location.
What I found really odd was that you can get a vegan burger, but there are no plant-based alternatives for milk on the menu. This is unusual, but I still thought I'd just ask, because I've been in many cafés and restaurants where they have alternative, but they aren't listed. Asking never hurt anybody, right?
When we ordered coffee the waitress was very quick to interrupt me while I asked if they had soy milk or any other plant based milk. She cut me off with "we have lactose free milk". I told her I didn't want that and asked again for soy milk (or anything else plant-based), and she said yes to that, too. I made sure we were talking about the same thing again, and she still said that they had that. Sadly, as expected I got lactose free milk and we told her, that that was the wrong order. She tried to defend herself, it was overall a really awkward situation.
(Just for clarification: This review is in English, but I am a native German speaker, so a language barrier was not the issue!)
Anyway, we returned the order and I got something else to drink, and when we paid she apologized. But I think the whole thing could have been avoided if she hadn't interrupted me while ordering, because then I would have just ordered anything else in the first place. Also, I'm usually chill about mistakes like that because we're all just human, but her being rude definitely makes us not want...
Read moreThe food is ok, but the rude waiter made us feel a huge and terrible mistake to seat and eat here. The waiter barely made any service other than a silent order taking and food serving. After we finished eating, we asked if we could take away the leftovers, and he said yes. Then he brought the POS card reader and required a tip directly. This request popped up very suddenly, so we said ‘sorry, but no.’ After the payment, he kept us and our 2 year old waiting for take away package for 15 minutes. When we came to him asked for help, he ignored us completely even though we said 3 times ‘excuse me’. This was rude! I had to block his way to made him start taking to us. I asked for the take away, he changed his mind and argued ‘NO, it was impossible to take away!’ Ok, things were clear here, he played the dirty trick ‘no tips, no service’. We didn’t expect this rude service at the famous Technical Museum in Vienna. Eventually we had to turn to the manager to ask for help and the manager helped us with bringing some paper dishes and a...
Read moreHORRIBLE AND AGRESSIVE TO CHILDREN!!! We wanted to buy 2 waters and waited for the waiter to come back to the cash counter. I told him that I had two waters (which one my LO already took). He insisted on scanning the second bottle separately. After some back and forth and him starting to be very rude I took the bottle for him to scan as I did not want any drama since my LO was next to me. The waiter started swearing at us infront of my child and slammed the cashier so much that my child got very scared and almost started crying. The waiter was swearing and fiddling with his arms aggressively. I tried to talk to his colleague who just told me „so what?! Now go“
DO NOT GO THERE!!!! DO NOT SUPPORT this business that thinks it’s ok to behave like that in a children’s museum serving...
