The staff is really friendly and it’s pretty and all but the portion sizes are just ridiculous. I booked a table through thefork, which was 30% off, therefore I thought they gave us smaller portions, but I think that’s just how they do it. I have been to nicer restaurants that serve sushi and I have never seen so small sashimi and sushi for that price.
The „big“ sashimi set for 45€ the „big“ sushi set for 42€
also the fish didn’t even taste that good, it was okay and for that price it’s not even justified🤢
we also ordered the yaki udon, that was 23€ or something but it was the most basic noodle dish and definitely do not recommend. Normal Chinese restaurants and stands make it the same way.. we had the udon with shrimp and it was barely shrimp in there and it was cut so small.
I don’t recommend this restaurant, but maybe you will get better food and bigger portion sizes, if you don’t book through thefork,...
Read moreFirst day we were dining in the shop, the food was overall ok, not as good as what they branded themselves as “Unkai”, in Japanese it means sea of clouds, very beautiful scene. The food was more like a express sushi type, simple, but overall can eat. If you are expecting it to be more advance or traditional Japanese sushi, please go somewhere else, they have take away order all the time. Second night I ordered from Mjam to delivery to the hotel. Then I realize that they charge a Udon noodle for 14 euros which just only has noodle and a few sea weed, totally don’t worth the value. Then things get worse, from one of the salmon sashimi I ate I find out a fish bone which I never ever have in my life! Terrible! This is absolutely unacceptable from any Japanese restaurant standard….and this is a shop belong to the Grand hotel I assume. They really need to improve it, this is in...
Read moreVery poorly run restaurant. My server wasn't well trained, and it was very distracting to have him around. Drinks weren't getting refilled. Food isn't anything unique or particularly good tasting - anyone could easily make everything at home at literally 10% cost of what they charge. Teppanyaki service is extremely slow (took about 3 hours), and for what they charge, I expected the chef to cook everything from appetizer to dessert infront of me on the grill. The reality is, maybe only 2 or 3 dishes were cooked on the grill infront of me out of a full Unkai course meal. By the end of the service, I couldn't wait to get out of my seat. There are hundreds of better ways you could spend your money. Horrible, boring, mediocre, undeserving. I regret this visit, and I will never...
