Being a regular visitor to Vapiano since moving to Vienna, i was really disappointed on my meal and the service from the cook who made our food. First of all he told us to queue up in another line, while him and his collegue next to him were giggling away at some Asian tourists who obviously spoke neither english or german, 'how rude' after 5 minutes of standing in this line he told us "this line is shut". this guy was really playing games with us and we were getting very inpatient with his behaviour and attitude. While queuing up and waiting for our food in the line we were originally in i saw a chef having his hands in the bin playing with the contents. After this some people came up to order and he automatically started cooking and touching the ingredients with his hands 'i'm glad i wasn't in this line' which had just been in a bin full of 'crap'. Once our order was placed the chef totally ignored the fact i asked for an add on of mozzarella and no chilli in my other dish, he then blatantly threw in loads of chilli which i then had to ask him to start again as i already said NO. The chef who's name i wont mention online, had zero motivation to work in the restaurant, no manners and obviously no idea how to cook. While i was eating my way through my Bolognese i was pulling out gloves and gloves of garlic in which the cook had thrown in out of spite. In total i pulled out 9/10 pieced of garlic which is ridiculous. This is the worst experience i've had at a Vapiano restaurant, in which i shall not...

The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance that transports you to Italy, with modern decorative walls and vintage decor that evoke a rustic and homely feel that is very welcoming. At the 1st floor it has tree in the middle of the table for large group who can enjoy the dine in with cozy environment.
The menu features classic Italian dishes such as homemade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and traditional meat and seafood dishes. All of the dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and the chefs pay great attention to detail in their preparation, resulting in impressive and delicious flavors.
The standout dish for me was the handmade pasta, which was cooked to perfection and served with a mouthwatering homemade sauce. Likewise, their pizzas are a must-try, with crispy, light crusts and a variety of delicious toppings.
Service at the Italian restaurant is second to none - the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations for wine pairings and menu selections were spot on and added to the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant, look no further! The combination of delicious food, warm ambiance, and exceptional service makes this gem a must-visit for lovers of...
Read moreThis is a warning for people from abroad who do not know how these restaurants work. I would like to talk about the food, but sadly we couldn't have dinner there. We wanted to go there because we had a concert at the Musikverein later (which is very close) and we thought it was enough having around 1 hour and a half to eat at Vapiano before the concert. We sent an email to book a table (the only option available to book), they answered and confirmed it, and when we arrived nobody knew about our reservation. Luckily there were free tables soon but the main problem was that at Vapiano you are your own waiter. You have to order everything standing at the counter and you have to bring everything, drinks and food, to your table, even if your table is upstairs. If at least the prices were lower, I would understand, but there are cheaper and better Italians in Vienna. Essentially they are taking advantage of you. Apart from that, the staff clearly has not enough room to work properly at rush hour (which is not their fault), so I waited for 20 minutes with only two people ahead of me in the queue and after realizing it would take long to eat there, we left without even ordering. So if you are sure you want to come here keep in mind that you will need plenty of time and that you will be the worker doing a waiter's...
