This place is truly a local favorite that never disappoints.

As someone who's dined here multiple times with family, my fiancé and his family, and friends, I can confidently say this restaurant is a consistent winner. It's become a go-to spot for us, and for good reason!

The stars of the show are undoubtedly their burgers. Whether you go for the Smashburger, the Fried Chicken Burger or the Pork Salciccia Burger, you're in for a treat. And to perfectly complement your meal, their 1516 Lager is also really good, as is the Kimber Ale.

Beyond the burgers, their other dishes are equally impressive. The Alpine Cheese Spätzle is a comforting and indulgent must-try (coming from an austrian). And you can't go wrong with their potato wedges or the potato salad. I've even heard rave reviews about their schnitzel from others, though I haven't had the pleasure of trying it myself yet.

What truly elevates this restaurant is its welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. We've always had a fantastic time here, no matter the group. It's the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy a great meal without any fuss.

A huge plus for tourists is that the waiters are fluent in both German and English, making ordering and communication a breeze.

1516 Brewing Company – A Solid First Stop in Vienna

Fresh off the Jet2 express from England, slightly dehydrated from the in-flight experience, we touched down in Vienna with one mission: find a proper pint. Enter 1516 Brewing Company—first bar of the trip, and a solid choice to kick things off.

Rolling in as a squad of four, we got stuck into the local specialities. Bratwursts? Tasty. Goulash? Proper hearty. Portions? Generous enough to satisfy a group of hungry lads. Prices? Reasonable—no "you’re-in-the-tourist-zone-now" surprises, which is always a win.

Now, the beer. It’s their own brew, and fair play, they know what they’re doing. The weisse? Refreshing and exactly what was needed. The lager? Smooth and dangerously easy-drinking. A place that knows its beer but doesn’t charge a small fortune for it—respect.

The waitress deserves a mention too—good service, good banter, and didn’t roll her eyes at our dodgy attempts at German. Always appreciated.

I've been to this place twice before and had a good experience both times, the food was good and the service upstairs was friendly and professional. However, my third visit was unfortunately, very disappointing, and quite shocking.

We were seated downstairs late at night, and the atmosphere was completely different. The main waiter (who I believe is also the owner) was clearly intoxicated, and his behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. He slammed glasses against the bar multiple times, creating an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere that completely ruined the vibe for me and my friends.

Apparently, he was upset that people were standing in a specific area of the bar meant only for staff (which is understandable). But instead of calmly addressing it, he reacted in an aggressive and hostile manner that was completely unnecessary. A simple, respectful explanation would have been enough.
