During the day, Café Wilhelm is a serene and cozy haven, making it an ideal spot for unwinding with a book or enjoying a quiet conversation.
However, as the evening approaches, the café's popularity becomes evident, and it can be challenging to find a place to sit—testament to its well-deserved reputation among locals and visitors alike.
One of the standout features of Café Wilhelm is its charming and whimsical interior. The space is adorned with an array of delightful details, from quirky pictures and vintage posters to an assortment of playful gimmicks that bring a smile to your face as you discover them.
Every corner seems to hold a little surprise, contributing to the café's unique atmosphere.
A particularly notable aspect of Café Wilhelm is the presence of a foosball table, a rarity in Vienna's coffee houses. This adds a playful, social element to the experience, making it a perfect spot not just for coffee and conversation, but also for a bit of lighthearted fun with friends.
The blend of a relaxed daytime vibe with the lively evening atmosphere, coupled with its distinctive interior and unique features like the foosball table, truly sets Café Wilhelm apart. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat during the day or a vibrant social spot in the evening, this café offers something special...
Read moreWe celebrated my wife's birthday at Wilheim. It was a great evening and the establishment brings everything you want for a great party: good selection of alcoholic drinks, a nice room split (an area to sit with tables and TV to show pictures or other media), a room with bar and later served as the dancefloor, and a free-to-use foosball table for some good times. The table is not a tournament table/a major brand, but still works great for the setting of a party, i.e. 2 to 4 inebriated people having some fun.
The owners are a very welcoming, polite and nice couple who just want the best for your party.
I personally would say the place is best suited for an event between 30 and 50 (maybe 60) people.
Only downside: midnight is a pretty hard stop. We knew it and did not care, but if you are looking for 1am or later,...
Read moreMy husband and I had a quiet relaxing lunch here. The lady who served us was friendly and happy to help us with our food choices. My husband chose the schnitzel and I had the greek chicken flodenbrot. Both were well cooked and very tasty particularly the schnitzel. Having enjoyed that we plunged into dessert and we both enjoyed our choices. My apfelstrudel was delicious, packed with apple and wrapped in a light pastry. My husband's kaiserschmarrm looked really appealing and he enjoyed it. The melange coffee was exceptional in a city known for it's coffee. A lovely chat with the lady server/owner(?) revealed they only use the best Italiain beans with their Italian manufactured coffee machine. That exchange reinforced the friendly atmosphere. A great...
