We love creative cuisine, but we know how challenging it can be. Many chefs strive for innovation, yet it’s rare to find a place that successfully combines creativity with truly delicious, memorable flavors. More often than not, we enjoy the experience once but don’t feel compelled to return.
Z'Soom Chef is an exception. Here, creativity isn’t just an experiment—it’s an art. Every dish is masterfully crafted, striking the perfect balance between surprise and harmony. The flavors are bold yet refined, inventive yet deeply satisfying. Each bite is a revelation, often featuring ingredients we couldn’t even identify, adding to the excitement of discovery.
The wine pairing was also a wonderful discovery, highlighting unique cépages and regional treasures that elevated each dish even further.
The first time we visited, I wrote in my review that they deserved a star and more. Now, they’ve earned their first star, and they truly deserve even more recognition.
The place itself is simple and inviting. It’s charming without any unnecessary, exaggerated sophistication—exactly how it should be. This unpretentious setting allows the food to shine in all its glory.
In our opinion, Z'Soom Chef is among the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. It’s not just a restaurant we recommend—it’s one we’ll return to every time we...
Read moreVisited in late July 2025, and Z’Som delivered a tasting menu that was equal parts precision and joy. From the first amuse-bouche to the last petit four, every course felt purposeful: clean, layered flavors, impeccable seasoning, and presentations that were beautiful without slipping into fussiness. The progression was thoughtfully paced so nothing felt rushed or drawn out, and temperatures were spot on throughout. I loved how the menu leaned into peak-summer ingredients, pairing brightness and acidity with deeper, savory notes so the meal never lost momentum. Service was polished yet warm, with clear explanations of each dish and genuine enthusiasm that made the evening feel personal rather than scripted. The dining room is intimate and modern, comfortably lit, and quiet enough for easy conversation; it sets exactly the tone you hope for at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Little touches—perfect bread and butter, clever pre-desserts, and a generous sendoff of petits fours—made it feel complete. It’s the kind of experience where you leave talking about favorite bites but also about how gracefully everything flowed. Worth planning ahead, and absolutely a place I’d return to for another...

We live in the neighborhood and this restaurant has attracted my attention a while ago, but somehow, I never got to visit it. it happened that we came for the first time on the New Year's Eve. And it was a cherry on the top for the end of the year.
First, I like the set-menu style. You are in the good hands of the lovely couple who runs this place, and they have developed a great choice of meals, perfectly blended set of gangs. And you don't know which one is better! They are being served in a perfect dosages and intervals. Two and a half hours of marvelous culinary experience, a true delight for your senses - taste, smell, look, even a touch in your mouth.
The choice of drinks is also excellent, I tried really great single malt, not so often served in the other places, while the herbal gin-tonic that my wife took was also great, both the taste and the way it was served.
And all that with a relaxed, discrete, yet entertaining service.
I am not an expert cuisine critic, but Z'Som definitely deserves to be visited by...
