Cappuccinos is such a wonderful, small, Italian restaurant in Lucaya, Grand Bahamas. If you’re looking for amazing food, - relatively cheap, considering the quality and variety of food - people, and general atmosphere, this is one hundred percent just the place. Me, my wife, and three children are now sitting - stuffed, with outstandingly flavorful and perfectly cooked food - with blankets for the kids, and a double espresso for myself. We cannot stop talking about how unbelievably delicious the meals were. The blankets were for when our kids walked in, shivering and cold. The owner of the restaurant is a Bahamian woman who is working there with her husband. She saw my kids come in cold, and immediately went to turn up the heat and grab the blankets for them. They are the nicest people, calling you ma’am and sir, and always extremely polite. If you are ever in the area, I would DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant with their astounding service, atmosphere, and food. Again, you one hundred percent have to come here.

I saw all the reviews saying this place from start to finish was amazing but it didn’t hit the five star for me. Needed a bit of salt and pepper on our entrees. The bread really was amazing though. An amazing texture but I swear I tasted banana somewhere. I had the pappardelle because it was the house specialty and it was a good flavor but I think it needed some parmesan melted in with the truffle sauce. There’s this pasta in Bonaire at Ingredient that is similar where they mix it in a Parmesan wheel and it doesn’t even have to be that just a bit of an additional flavor to the truffle. Baileys crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e was amazing.

The food significantly improved this year with Chef Luca heading the kitchen. We can recommend the house special, gnocchi, and the tiramisu. Unfortunately, when we went to the restaurant their two high chairs were broken. We live in Freeport where most restaurants are not baby-friendly so we came with our stroller and a portable seat for our 9 month old son. However, it is worth mentioning that the door and the way the tables are set is not wheelchair friendly. So if you bring a person with limited mobility arrive before 7 or make a reservation so they can assist you.

My family and I recently went to the Bahamas and decided to try this place based on the reviews. It was well worth the taxi ride from the hotel! The staff was great and the food was incredible. The owner was very personable and walked around to all of the guests to check how their dining experience was going. He told us about the other restaurant he owns and we actually ended up going there the following day for lunch. The pasta was great and their calamari is by far the best I've ever had! We will absolutely return to this place for a good dinner whenever we are...
