We are not giving 1 star for food, it’s for the service. Let’s start with our initial disappointment. During pandemic, we all know that business outlets needs to control their costs but not by discrimination. When we went for dine, we were given use and throw cutleries but out next table was served with standard cutleries. When we asked, staff replied this is management decision that if guest request for normal cutlery, we will serve them accordingly and they gave an excuse that dishwashing machine is under repair from Long time and spare parts are coming from different part of the world. We accepted this excuse and we came back again as we liked the food. Since we complained about cutlery, we are served with normal cutleries on our next visit, so we started to visit your restaurants often as I mentioned again only for taste of food. But today we really disappointed the way your service staffs getting away with an excuse saying management decisions thisneeds to stop as this may harm restaurant reputations. When ever we want to experience and want to have nice time, our expectations always get hammered by your team members excuse of flaws in service/ service design. Today we ordered vegetable biryani and we found no accompaniment( raitha) placed on the table, when we checked with service staff, their standard reply that it’s management decisions that our menu do not offer raitha as an accompaniment with Any biryani and staff stressing on that it’s management decisions and they said if you want raitha, it will on additional charges which 1.5 BHD . If guests want to raise their feedbacks to next level, we don’t find any senior member available to share our feedbacks . We have dinned in many A class restaurants but never come across that biryani do not come with any accompaniment, which we fail to convince. We are writing this feedback, so that some one senior in organization will get to read this and take necessary steps to address these issues so that guests do not spoil their movement where they come with certain expectations. We would be happy to share our detailed experience if any one from management would Like to know more on our...
Read moreWe have dined at Copper Chimney for years. The Indian food is outstanding and the service is as good as the food. Mr. Praveen (server) does excellent work. The curries, nans, biriyani and grills are all top notch. Additionally, the prices are moderate for westerners in Bahrain. The only drawbacks consist of the following. Parking: In Um Al Hassam, it is never easy to find parking. You may have to park in the open dirt/sand lot 150 meters away from the building. Accessibility: While there is an elevator, if someone has mobility issues, it may difficult to get to the building as there really isn’t a sidewalk. The elevator is cramped, and one must still climb a number of stairs. The area can be considered by some to be “ghetto” yet the service and food offered by Copper Chimney is far from ghetto. Definitely worth and try, ever with...
Read moreI still haven't recovered from the experience of having a cockroach sitting under my chair when entering this restaurant a couple of years ago, to the staff's amusement, or the subsequent weak explanation from the manager, playing the inevitable blame game on his staff that seems to be an inherent and congenital trait. There are basic minimum standards that have to be adhered to in any catering establishment. I have seen potato salad after mixing in a rotary stainless steel vessel being tipped on to the kitchen floor in a 5 star hotel. Why serve hot food on cold plates is a common question! Bad news always travels faster than good and it is time for long suffering clientle to voice opinions to keep restaurateurs...
