Although I've only been to Darjeeling a few times, I must admit I like their Chilly Momo. The breaded shrimp (I assume they call it dynamite) is pretty decent, too, although it's frozen shrimp not fresh. The steam momos are good too. The traditional Nepali salad was something new and frankly pleasant. If I am not mistaken, a can of Coke costs 550 fils there. The food is palatable and affordable.
There's nothing much to call ambience, but it is cleaner than other Nepali restaurants I've been to. Blue Moon for instance, always smells of Pif Paf and perhaps for good reason.
It is family friendly. However, the last time I visited, the neighboring patrons were smoking like diesel engines, and it became unbearable to sit on the first floor. We had to move to the ground floor, which was not spacious for 6 at a table, but we managed.
The staff are courteous. One time, the kitchen sent over Teriyaki shrimp that was not cooked (frozen). I had sent it back to thaw and cook a little more.
Unless a cleaner and more tastier option arrives, I find myself visiting...

The simplistic decor and clean ambience immediately connected us to the eateries in hilly regions of Sikkim, Darjeeling and Nepal. The same applies for the food. Momos were spot on. Chicken thali was awesome. But fish fry was too spicy and fish quality was not the best. Read more5 star in every possible way - we had a lot of food and everything was great. We had 3 plates of momo - kothey chicken momo, kurkure pork (yes you get pork here) momo, veg steam momo. We also took a kung Pao chicken. The dishes were awesome. 2 of us finished 30 pieces of momos and the chicken dish. Everything was good.
