Overpriced and food / drinks didn’t match. I paid premium and got given cheap vodka. There was a bottle of Absolute on display but I ended up with cheap booze beginning with a K.
Food was underwhelming- Beef main course dry and the dishes served cold. The pasta was nothing special - taste was akin to a microwave meal. The tempura prawns were served luke-warm and as a precaution, we didn’t eat them. The sea bass was served with cold mash and an acidic tomato sauce . It wasn’t a premium offerings at all when compared to the amazing Kaya or other party brunches.
Wall to wall instagram influencers who are making the place look good just held their phones and took photos of their outfits and the DJs. The PA sang over tracks and was quite sad and totally out of touch with house and EDM music.DJs could not mix paints let alone tunes. Snap shots were excellent but nothing seemed to get going - sound and effects - amazing and it is clear Volta has potential but not with the food / service because they are more than lacking.
Sadly, I have no idea why anyone would come here and I did tell / told the manager about the service and quality but made no difference- the wine was warm and drinking water hot. Slow service- our mains ( very small!) came out at 5pm (and not everyone got a main and we got four desserts for our table of 12) and the starter gone 3pm so everyone was hungry. Cocktails a complete mess - how can you serve a strawberry daiquiri with no ice? It was the colour of Vimto with hardly any alcohol.. I opted for rose - it was bright red and warm. The cheapest option Volto could find!
I never leave bad reviews but as the manager did not take our complaints seriously- I felt compelled to leave this review. Would we come back? Absolutely not! This brunch has a short shelf and life expectancy especially when other places do so much better for atmosphere...
Read moreWe visited Volto Restaurant & Lounge for their brunch and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The entire vibe of the place is just perfect—elegant yet relaxed, with beautiful décor and a really inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that immediately puts you in a good mood the moment you walk in.
The price point was surprisingly good, especially considering the quality of the food, service, and overall ambiance. The brunch spread was delicious, with a great variety of dishes that were both flavorful and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like it was carefully prepared. Their cocktails were super refreshing and definitely hit the spot—perfectly balanced and visually stunning.
What really elevated the experience was the entertainment. The vibe was fun and lively without being overwhelming. The DJ was absolutely fabulous—he kept the energy going with great music that matched the mood perfectly. It felt like the perfect mix of chill brunch and upbeat lounge.
Everything was very well-organized, which made the entire experience seamless. The staff were attentive, friendly, and super efficient—we never had to wait long for anything. It’s clear that they take customer service seriously, and it really shows.
Honestly, it was one of the best brunch outings we’ve had in a while, and we’re already looking forward to going back. Whether you’re looking for great food, awesome music, or just a cool place to spend your weekend, Volto is definitely worth...

If there were an award for worst customer treatment in Bahrain, Volto would win hands down. Unfortunately, I’ve given it more than one chance. About a month ago, I was there with my wife. The place was overcrowded, people were dancing and having fun, and my wife was doing the same — nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly, a rude bodyguard came and asked us to leave. When I asked what we did wrong, she literally said “nothing.” Then she claimed it was “for our safety” because my wife was “drunk.” That’s none of their business — we were using Uber and not causing any trouble at all. Totally unacceptable behavior.
Yesterday, we made the mistake of going back — and it was even worse. The place wasn’t busy at all, and we sat on a free sofa that had no “reserved” sign. Seconds later, a bodyguard approached us aggressively and ordered us to move without explanation. We let it go and sat at the bar, where I politely asked to move a chair so I could face my wife (crazy request, right?). Again, the staff refused for no reason. That was the last straw.
This place has the rudest and most unprofessional staff I’ve ever encountered. They made me feel unwelcome, confused, and insulted all at once. That’s talent. I’ll never step foot in that place again, and I’ll make sure everyone I know avoids this place to save their time,...
